Ok, real quick about the creature I found. I was heading back to work after dropping Precious off at home yesterday and on the corner near my house I saw what looked like a small dog. In all honesty, that is probably what it was.
Well, because I'm me I just stopped in the middle of the road and got out. Shaun was apparently talking to me (but I was in the zone and didn't hear him), and I later heard that there was a big truck behind me, and that I was standing in the road... but in the moment I didn't know all of that. Haha. None of that makes Shaun feel better about me stopping to pick up animals.
So, this little guy is small... like, a little smaller than chihuahua small. I wasn't sure at first if it was a puppy or a grown dog. He was thin and had either gotten something on his head, or was sickly. The fur on his head was greased together or something... I am not really sure. But because it was thin and it's fur looked unhealthy, sickly wouldn't surprise me one bit.
So this little guy had a weird-shaped head and reddish fur that was just sticking out. I approached him and he sat down. I heard him growl a little bit so I squatted so I wouldn't seem so large. I eased closer and stuck my hand out. And then he screamed at me. He didn't bark, he didn't howl. He screamed. Mouth wide open (not puppy teeth so if this was a dog it was older), and just screaming. I stayed where I was for a minute in hopes that he would calm down, but he didn't stop screaming until I walked away and got back in my car.
So... I didn't pick him up. It was really weird. He looked weird and he sounded weird and he acted weird. I guess it was a dog, but something seemed really off about him. Also, he had two canine teeth on the the bottom right, like, one behind the other. It was just bizarre. I'm going to keep my eyes out for him. Maybe he's someone's dog and isn't used to strangers. But I am not used to animals just screaming at me. It was the most bizarre sound. 😳
