I repotted my baby Lithops last night. I was terrified to do it because LOOK AT THOSE TEENSY ROOTS! They are no thicker than the dog hair on my pants. 😂😂😂 I used spare nail tools to dig them up carefully because it was delicate work, but I'm sure I got them moved with little to no damage. They look much more suited to this soil than the apparently delicious - looking cactus and succulent mix I had them in before. 😛😂
All in all, 20 out of 25 seeds germinated and 18 have continued to grow. I bought the special soil from the same company I bought my Lithops from (Micro Landscape Design on Amazon), and they sent more seeds and 9 young Lithops (for free!) with the order, as well as a couple of cheap pots and small gardening tools. So aside from these babies I now have 21 mature Lithops and 2 packs of seeds left to germinate. 😳 I mean I'm excited and who doesn't love freebies, but that's a lot of Lithops and I'm still learning how to care for them. I hope I can keep them healthy.
I'll post pics of my older Lithops later. They were sorted and repotted last night, as well. 🙂
