I don't know when this thing got here next to me which is shocking because she almost constantly sounds like a snoring snot monster. I was pretty surprised to see that I was being snuggled by The Worst Cat (Calypso /Club Soda) rather than My Boyfriend (Scar) - who cried outside of my bedroom until I got up. These things are weird.

I spent the day with my plants.

I spent the day with my plants. This stupid thing meowed outside my bedroom until I eventually let him in. Then he came in and rubbed and meowed all over everything. He loved my spikey aloes. He rubbed his cheeks all over those until I had to stop him because he was knocking them over. 😂😂😂 I eventually had to kick him out because he wanted to start nibbling plants and I had stuff to finish.

All of his crying today, for this:  He just wanted to lay on my legs and nap near me. I don't really understand cats, but whatever floats his goat, I guess.

Over the last few days (weeks?)...

Over the last few days (weeks?) I may have offended some people or hurt some feelings.  Generally, I am the first to give the benefit of the doubt and try to find diplomatic solutions to disagreements or problems.  I'm usually asking a million questions and trying to see things from another person's perspective.  While I have simmered down quite a bit I am going to go ahead and make it clear that I AM NOT SORRY.  If I deleted you or upset you, just... understand that my anger and disappointment with you is not unwarranted and that everyone has a breaking point.  I, uh, pretty clearly hit mine.  I'm only human, so forgive me or don't.  If this is an issue we part ways over, then so be it.   If you want to remain friends, that's fine, but I will not forget your words or your silence regarding this issue.

In the spirit of all that is happening in the world today I thought I'd dig up this old message.  All I had to do was search "race traitor" in my inbox.  I blocked him so that he didn't have the option to unblock and communicate with me again.

Yes, people like this do exist.  And yes, he is from Alabama.  But yeah - go ahead and tell yourself that black people are treated as equals.  Some people don't even view them as the same SPECIES as white people.

Black Lives Matter.  And they deserve far better treatment than they've been getting.
