APPARENTLY... the ice dispenser isn't the only thing that gets this boy hype. Shaun discovered (the hard way) that a wheelbarrow will, too.

Shaun was working in the yard outside of the fence. When he came back into the fence to put the wheelbarrow away, Bear chased it and when Shaun put it away he got bitten on both legs. Bear has bruised me before, but he actually broke skin a bit this time. Neither of us expected that, but apparently we need to be more aware of things that make rumbling noise.

This doesn't bode well for me skating in the yard if he's outside. I am concerned that I'm going to be chased and bitten. I might have to separate him from me when I exercise. We'll see. We'll do what we can to figure it out.

Despite being up with the sun this morning, I'm having a pretty good day. 😊

My cat didn't have explosive diarrhea, so I SLEPT and it was great.

Work has been nice. Not as crazy today as I was afraid it would be; I just have to stay focused.

We had Pizza Hut delivered and the car the delivery person drove was BEAUTIFUL. It looked like it was wrapped in a holographic material of some sort and I'm all about the shiny. It made my eyes happy. And lunch was good, too!

I'd ordered a chair from Amazon because the chair I brought downstairs when I moved my office down DOES NOT work with this desk (but it does work well upstairs, so we'll just take it back up). It has arms that wouldn't let my short self get close enough to my workspace unless I lowered it completely, but then I was too low. If I was high enough to see comfortably, then my legs dangled. Short people problems - IYKYK. So my new chair arrived today (a day early!) and I feel SO MUCH BETTER. It has a separate adjustable footrest and no arms on the chair, and it's wide enough that I can sit with my legs criss-cross if I want. I am really happy with it. 😁

Also, we just found out that our custom glass door is shipping, so that's almost 2 weeks earlier than expected. I'm excited!

Little peek into my pretty workspace. Believe it or not, I didn't plan the way these items match. They were all bought months apart before I moved my office downstairs. I've had the RocketBook for almost 2 years. The binder was in a drawer upstairs, probably for a year at least. And the huge mouse pad I bought the other day before I even thought to bring the binder down. I'm happy with it, though. I don't think it could have blended more nicely if I tried. 😂

Scar is finally pooping turds again...

Scar is finally pooping turds again. He's on expensive food made of rabbit, but whatever works. I'm just hoping for a good night's sleep where I don't wake up to him shitting loudly while accidently missing the litter box.  I feel like I have a baby as much as I wake up to clean him / clean up after him, and that's no good because I have 6:30 am meetings the rest of the week. 🫠

Now if we could get Balthi feeling better that would be great. He's on special food, too, and showing improvement, but he's not 100% yet.

I have decided to stop...

I have decided to stop doing polygel / acrygel overlays on my nails for the time being. I used to have so much fun doing nail art, but I use up my energy and free time trying to get the overlays to look perfect and then by the time I'm done I don't even want to bother dressing them up. It's dumb.

Not only that, but I use an electronic file to remove the overlays and I've gotten SO MUCH BETTER at that than when I started, but there definitely is some damage from my early days of using it that I need to grow out.

For now I'm just going to use Gelish Structure Gel to reinforce my nails and help grow out the damage. It seems to take far less skill to use and I can decorate on top of it with gel or regular polish. Regular polish will last on top of gel for about as long as the gel lasts, so that's nice.

Anyway. Just my current nail musings / plans. Now that I'm far more organized than I was I really can't wait to start using all of my goodies again. I'm excited! 😁

This has been the weather here since yesterday...

This has been the weather here since yesterday and it's supposed to be over tonight. I got a little itch in my throat for a couple hours from the dust, but that's it.

This is honestly the worst weather we have here, and I'll GLADLY take it over flash floods and tornadoes ANY DAY. This isn't life-threatening. My yard isn't going to flood. Trees won't fall onto my house.

Just don't go outside improperly dressed unless you want to be thoroughly exfoliated inside and out. 😂
