Good Christians vs. Bad Christians.

Good Christians vs. Bad Christians.  Don't make me tag you!

To all of my good (as in, not spreading hate) Christian friends, this post IS aimed at YOU.  I never had the words, so I'm borrowing them now.  This is not meant to be offensive - I just truly don't understand how you can claim it, but not all of it.  Please tell me how that works.  It's an honest question.

As the original poster went on to say "Being religious and ignoring the 'bad stuff' saying they aren't true Christians, that's not the part I practice... is like handing out machine guns to school kids and saying you didn't mean for anyone to get hurt. Religion is a weapon whether you pull the trigger or just load the gun."

Eric L. Holmes

You and yours are good and kind, generous and loving. If those who commit atrocities stripping women, hanging atheists, bombing clinics, buildings and people are associates by foundational belief - you must condemn that foundation. Membership is support. If you reject the symptoms you must reject the cause - Or claim your place in a system of injustice. It is no longer okay to condemn homosexuals, try to influence political policy while claiming tax exempt status, berate women, make free choice illegal, ignore priestly pedophiles, build million dollar churches and use membership charity to ignore the needy while lobbying to enact religious laws.  Stand up for what Jesus stood for or acknowledge that you sit in pew.
