My Teyla hunts and eats her bugs like a pro. I am NOT worried about her at all, but Teal'c hasn't eaten much in days. 🙁 He doesn't seem like he's very good at catching crickets, yet he prefers those to worms. So he's eaten very little since he's been here. Like, only a few crickets since the weekend. NOT GOOD. He perked up yesterday after I misted him and then ate a bug. But that's it. One all day. 🙁
The veggies look disturbed (like they have been nommed) so maybe he's eating those, but he needs some protein. So I gave him a bath and then syringe fed him baby food mixed with vitamins. It was a slow start, but once he tasted it he ate a good bit. He seemed pretty into it so when he finally slowed down I washed him up (because syringe feeding is a little messy) and then put him under his light so he could digest.
So, Laurel, you are not the only one syringe-feeding babies right now. 🙂 I actually don't mind it - but now I'm in "mommy mode" (what is it about nursing / syringe-feeding babies that does that?!) so if anything happens to him, well, I'm not gonna be ok.
ALSO - I saw both of my babies wave today! I don't know what brought it on, but O.M.G. It was fucking adorable. 😃😃😃
