I just went to Wal-Mart to get some stuff. I do the Pet boards for the shelter at both the Anniston and Jacksonville Wal-Mart. When I got back to the pet section tonight someone had taken all of the shelter animals down and stashed the cards in the shelves and put one single photo with a pack of puppies up, along with a note that says "We are free to good house" and a phone number.
Who does that? I guess I don't have proof that the person who took the photos down also left the puppy photo, but it makes sense that they would.
I took the photo home with me and I've called the number 3 times. I will call it until I get an answer (not tonight, but probably tomorrow). Taking the shelter dogs down was not a nice thing to do and if the person who left that number did it then I will tell them so. Then I'm gonna ask them if they need help getting a dog fixed. If they do I'll find a way to make it happen. Also, I'm worried for the puppies. "Free to good home" doesn't always turn out for the best. 🙁
Ugh. I guess I need to go and check on my Jacksonville board now. 😐
