I've had a really nice day today.

I've had a really nice day today.  I've gotten 2 good newses and I was also surprised with this amazing bag.

My boss goes to trade shows to sell the jewelry we make and she and another designer, Susan  Riedweg, got together and created a new show called Thenticau.  I end up doing a lot of the Thenticau stuff at work - we just kind of roll it into my regular job so I'm paid for it, but Susan sent me this bag she made as a thank you.  It TOTALLY made my day!  I do love the bag, but the thoughtfulness made me feel really appreciated so that was awesome, too.  🙂

This is officially the fanciest thing I own.  Before this bag came into my life the fanciest thing I had was my Dumpster Wedding Dress (and I wasn't complaining).  Don't get me wrong - I am quite easy to please, but it feels nice to have something really special.  Each piece she makes is unique and honestly I probably couldn't even afford to walk into the places where her items are sold - so this is my special treasure.

The downside is that I think it was made with a real animal, but as long as we're eating them I feel strongly that we shouldn't waste anything.  I hope that none of my animal peeps will hold it against me that I have this.  It is not something that I could have ever gotten for myself for a few different reasons, but now that I have it I don't want to not have it.  I don't know if that makes sense to anyone but me, but there it is.
