Please pardon my dry and crusty cuticles.  I did moisturize before this photo, but they are obviously still pretty sad.  Between the yard work yesterday, and the ASS TON of acetone it took to clean up after sponging that gradient, I guess that's understandable.  Poor cuticles.  🙁

So... this paint job was a lot of fun to do, actually.  I've never been into free-handing anything, but I followed the tutorial linked below, so it was pretty easy.  Time-consuming - DEFINITELY.  But that's fine.  I enjoy painting nails and learning new things, and I had some free time, so why not?

I'm actually pretty proud of these.  Maybe I'll branch out and actually gain some painting skillz.  🙂

Gotta do some things, and if I get done with those things, MOAR YARD WORK if it's not raining.  My back is a little sore from weedeating, but I think I can handle doing it again today.  I don't think it will cripple me up or anything.  I hope not.

Off to photograph my nails, in case all of my worky-works jack them up later!  Woohoo!

Just finished doing my nails.  That was some hours.  LOL  I followed a tutorial I found online, and oddly enough, it was mostly freehand work, which I NEVER do.  But I think they turned out pretty nice.  These are not usually my style AT ALL, but I do like them.  I guess I'm finally branching out a little.  And I'm finally making use of that awesome brush set that Shaun got me so long ago.  Yay for things!  😃

Weed-eating makes me feel SO bad ass.

I've been trying to do my nails for an hour, but...

I've been trying to do my nails for an hour, but nothing is coming to me.  There are all sorts of cool things I could do, but I can't seem to commit.  😕

I guess since it's not raining, I'm going to go and try to cut some grass or something.  Maybe I'll have an idea later.  This is crazy.

Sad news.

Sad news.  Edgar had to be put to sleep.  🙁  The vet found multiple fractures in both of his legs.  She said that if he was standing when I got him and then stopped, she would suspect a calcium deficiency, but she doesn't understand why since me AND the person who had him before were supplementing him with it.  Maybe something was wrong and he just couldn't absorb it.

In any case, it didn't seem possible to fix all of that.  So, rest in peace, little buddy.  You were really fun to have around.  ❤
