Today, Rose got her rabies shot and her spay scheduled.

Today, Rose got her rabies shot and her spay scheduled. After that, we took the kids to the park. I don't know about them, but I'm tired!

Time to run! Tongues out, ears flapping in the wind!

Trying to photograph puppies is the most fun. 😂😂😂

I don't know why this photo is so dark, but I thought it was a really pretty picture of Rose.

Went to feed the animals and...

Went to feed the animals. Found Nom and Teyla (tortoise and bearded dragon) chilling together. Nom bulldozed a hole in Teyla's enclosure and set her free. I, uh... don't even know what I'm going to do about that. It's the animal room so it should be safe for them. Maybe it's ok? I'm glad I'm not in school yet so that I can observe. 😂 Goofy kids. I love my babies. 😍

I'll get a photo soon. Not until I clean, though. Nom has been rampaging. 😂😂😂 Gotta love life with a tortoise.

Me, Shaun, Shadow, and Kira went to the aquarium...

Me, Shaun, Shadow, and Kira went to the aquarium in Atlanta today. It was a good time. We all got to touch these guys. 😊

Well, it was mostly a good time. I'm hormonal and at the sea lion show they talked about how one of their sea lions was a rescue and about pollution. I was the only person in there crying. A grown-ass woman straight bawling at a sea lion show - big tears, snotty face, the whole 9 yards. I just had all the feelings, man. 😂😂😂 It was a good show, but I couldn't help myself! I love Shaun and the kids for just rolling with my weirdness. 😂😍😍😍

Plant Pics!

Look at all of the new growth on my little crested baby. 😍

Better shot of these weird little blooms. I am so happy!

More blooms! 🌸

This is the crazy long stalk. It's doing the most. 😂

Up - close of one of my Echeverias blooms. 🌸

This isn't nail art, but I'm proud of it anyway.

TRIGGER WARNING:  Minor (non-bloody) Nail Trauma

This isn't nail art, but I'm proud of it anyway. One of these nails is a reconstruction. As most everyone knows I struggle with psoriatic disease. Sometimes it attacks my bones. Since I was 13 or so, it has attacked my skin. Over the last couple of years I've had 2 fingernails affected.

I think it's pretty obvious which nail is fake (the pointer finger), but I feel that at a glance it's not noticeable. I know it's not perfect, but I'm not upset. This was my first attempt at sculpting with hard gel. Also, more importantly - having this protection over my damaged nail is a lot more comfortable and is preventing additional damage from snags.

Wearing Light of Lyra by Tonic. Picture of the nail damage below the next paragraph (it's not gory, but just FYI in case you are bothered by that).

This is the reconstructed nail without polish. As you can see, my actual nail is trimmed short and then cut away almost down to the cuticle where it had lifted away from the nail plate. Believe it or not, it was really sore before I cut away all of the un-attached nail. Since psoriasis makes cells reproduce too fast, there was pressure and buildup under the nail. Removing it didn't hurt at all and made it feel a lot better, but left it vulnerable to snags and I was constantly messing with it. Now it is protected.

Since the gel is clear I can remove the polish to check on how my nail is doing. If the pressure from the psoriasis returns I can easily remove the gel, clean my nail plate, and replace it. Added bonus is that I can make it look super similar to my other nails while I wait for it grow out. 😊
