Got my sweet good-morning kisses from Bear. When he really wants to kiss you and can't reach he starts bouncing in an attempt to reach your face. I don't love the idea of being hit in the face with a tooth so I normally bend down to receive my lovings. It feels less dangerous that way. 😂

I don't know what got into him this morning, but in the midst of my kisses he "honked" my nose twice in a row. It didn't hurt at all, but it really caught me sideways because I can't ever recall having a dog "honk" my nose. 😂 What in the world. 😂😂😂

Edited to add:  I've now been fanged in the nostril and head-butted. He must be feeling pretty good this morning! 😂❤️

Sitting here working and minding my business when Shaun started coughing. That's normal, but the way it sounded was not. I called his name twice with no answer.

Long story short, he choked on his spit and he's ok, but  damn if I didn't jump up ready to kick him in the back of the knees so I could Heimlich him or something. Think you're 'bout to choke out on my watch? Nah.

I need to go ahead and calm back down. He scared the hell out of me. 😂

Scar is being seen on Thursday.

Bear has only been on his seizure meds for 7 days as of today. They take 7-10 days to fully get into his system. That could have been a little seizure last night. The doctor said to watch him and let her know if it happens again after Friday so we can adjust his medication.

If that was a seizure it was MUCH shorter in duration. It just scared us more because of him screaming.

Scar's IBD is flaring up again.

We don't know what just happened to Bear, but we were getting ready for bed and put him in his crate. The next thing we know he's screaming like he's hurt. We all rushed to check on him and he came out and sat with Shaun and Cub for a few minutes. He seemed ok aside from one of his knees being out of place (which happens all the time and he never makes a big deal of it), but Shaun fixed it for him.

We checked the camera and he was making circles like he was about to lay down and he kind of fell over and started screaming. We can't see anything that could have hurt him. I don't know if he tripped or what (he's not the most coordinated pup), but that was scary.

I feel so bad for him. I know some of his issues have got to be in part because of his jankey knees. As soon as he's clear of the seizure meds and ok to undergo surgery we're doing that for him. The sooner, the better to prevent arthritis. It would already be done if the seizure issue hadn't come up.

For what it's worth, I think he's felt pretty good all day. He's been strutting around (he definitely has a walk for "I'm energetic and about to get into some shit." 😂) and causing chaos all day. He's been super playful. So I'm hoping he just maybe twisted an ankle or something and that we're not seeing a new bad thing surface. Poor sweet boy. ❤️
