S'mores, hair, gay neighbor ladies with spatulas...

Marshmallows make me happy. Yeah, I said it. And probably fat, too, but I guess we'll just wait and see. 😆 I've been eating a lot of toasted marshmallows lately. Nick brought some over for his cocoa and taught me how to toast them over an electric stove (which btw, my mother always told me wasn't possible) so I had to buy a bag of my own and I just can't stop eating them. And last night we made dark chocolate s'mores. Oh yeah. 😁 They would've been a lot better if we'd had thinner dark chocolate, but the bars you get at Wal-Mart are freakin' jumbo size. Oh well. There's no such thing as too much dark chocolate.

Speaking of dark chocolate - that's really similar to my hair color now. I wanted to go with something darker (but not black) so it's just this awesome deep brown color. Nick helped me pick it out and then he put it on there for me. I didn't want any missed spots or anything. I can't walk around with my hair color all jacked up. 😜

Weird thing this morning. It was all frosty out so I went out to let my car warm up to melt the frost off and my gay neighbor lady was coming out of her apartment with a spatula. She said she was going to scrape the frost off my window for me so that I wouldn't be late, but I told her I had time to let it melt off. She said she needed something to do to keep her awake so I was just like, "Well, ok. Thanks." She's so awesome (and funny and strange sometimes). 😁

Today we went to the pet store. I saw the cutest thing! A leopard gecko who (body orange and tail purple) was drinking some water. He had such a cute flat little red tongue! I guess it was just the way he was perched on his water bowl - I dunno. But it was adorable. Also, the cockatoo who lives there, Spanky, was spazzing out. This song came on the radio and I swear he was dancing. It cracked me up; he was showing out. And a ferret bit me REALLY hard. It was a young one - those rambunctious little shits - so I wasn't mad. It really hurt, though.

Well I guess that's all of my rambling for tonight. I'll probably try to post another picture entry tomorrow for those of you who care. It will most likely be Christmas pics - some of which are pretty funny, too. Looks like I'm about to catch up with myself! Yay!

Ok... THE END

Fall Festival and Halloween pics!!! (funny stuff)

So I'm finally putting up the October-esque photos... they're pretty good, I think. Some of them are funny at least. 😁

This is Shadow after getting his face painted at the Fall Festival his school held. Of course he wanted to be a skull. 😂

This is Shadow and Nick... aren't they cute?

This is Nick scaring Shadow. Love the face. 😄

Halloween. Shadow was a ninja.

My mom gave Shadow gags for Halloween and this is one of them. Nice. 😑😂 Thanks, mom.

I hope everyone likes these or at least gets a good laugh out of them! Let me know what you think! 😊

Miscellaneous STUFF from the last week-ish.

Since it's been a while I guess I'll start with now and work my way back until I can't remember anything interesting to write. I'll start with right now. I'm blogging from work (the boss is out for a while).

This morning was cold as shit, but so pretty. It was all dark and cloudy, but with gold-ish sun highlighting certain areas... I love mornings that look that way. It's awesome to wake up to something so pretty. It really makes my day. I actually think there was another one not too long ago, as well... 😊

Backing up to last night - to put it simply - it was fun. Me, Shadow, and Nick went to Nick's aunt and uncle's house for Nick to fix his cousin's Nintendo DS. We ended up staying out there until 9:00 - which is pretty late for me to have Shadow out on a school night, but whatever. We were all having a good time.

Nick was playing video games with his cousin, Shadow was playing with toys with his other cousin, and I was watching American Idol with his aunt and uncle. They seem to be really big fans of the show. The only part of it that I can really get into is what was on last night: The Auditions. They are hilarious. I love it. I laughed so hard that I cried at this one guy... he came up there all dressed in a deputy's uniform (he said he really was one in real life) and proceeded to sing the chorus to "I Shot the Sheriff" over and over again... probably about 8 or 10 times in all. It was like he wasn't gonna stop until someone stopped him. 😂😂😂

Also we ate dinner there and it was good. We ate a deer (and other stuff, of course). Anyway, I've eaten deer before like in stews and stuff, but not ever where I could actually tell what it tasted like. Well, I liked it. I ate so much food. 😁 Nick's aunt can cook.

Backing up a few more nights - I held Sabembermoff, Nick's scorpion. Nick held him, too. Nick has picked him up by the tail and stuff, but never actually held him. It was cool. I think I'm the only other person to ever hold him so I feel special. It was so neat... his feet tickled my hand. Aww, I like that little guy. 😍

Before that night (or maybe even that night - I dunno for sure) there was this awesome halo-thing around the moon. It was huge. From what I understand that happens sometimes. Nick was going outside for something and called me out to look at it. I was thinking, "How great can this be?" but it actually was spectacular. It was GINORMOUS - this ring around the moon was. I was like "Whoa." 👀 I honestly didn't expect it to be that big.

Anyway, one more thing and I think I will be done. I was driving to Munford either this past weekend or the one before it and I saw a hand on the side of the road. It was a human hand. I'm pretty sure it was fake, though. But that's just a weird thing to see on the side of the road.

Ok, yeah... THE END.

Pet Pics!!!

So I'm finally putting up some pictures. This will probably take up several entries since I'm so far behind. Oh well - it's getting done. Now look at them and tell me how cute they all are! 😁

This is Lily, our parakeet. I've had her for a while; the neighbors gave her to us because she's so loud (but she's not that bad, really) and does weird things sometimes. She's a little crazy (seriously, I think she's insane)... but I love her anyway. 😍

These are the gerbils we got a while back. The blonde one is Toad and the darker one is Testiclees. Toad belongs to Shadow, (hence the weird name), and Testiclees... well... if you saw him from behind you'd understand. 😜

This is Sabembermoff. He belongs to Nick, but I thought I'd put him up anyway. He glows neon green under a black light. He is the AWESOME! (And I think he needs a hug). 😁

And now a couple of pictures of Yorda (the newest addition to the family). The first one is her eating yogurt off my finger; the second is her and Nick (it's my favorite so I saved it for last). 😍

So there's all of the creatures I currently live with. It's kind of like I have a mini-zoo going on, but it's cool. They're all awesome to have around. I'll be posting more pictures soon now that I've figured out what I'm doing. Well, I hope everyone likes my pics! :)

I can't think of anything. : /

Yeah, I can't think. I'm pretty tired right now. I'm still on antibiotics and that sucks. But Thursday is the last day I have to take them, thankfully.

I feel pretty fine other than that. I cleaned my kiddo's room because it needed it desperately, but I didn't get all the way done. I will finish it tomorrow. It was a pretty big mess. I blame myself. He didn't have enough space or storage for all the stuff he has crammed in there, but I think I took care of that today. I (actually - it was more like Nick and Jajuan) moved my entertainment center up there so that he could have more shelves and places to put stuff. I was organizing things so he could find them and I think it's gonna work out quite nicely. I certainly hope so.

Now you might be thinking "Didn't she need her entertainment center for like the TV or something?" No. 😀 My TV died the other day and the one I bought was too big for the entertainment center. So I had to get a new entertainment center, also. 😂 I really didn't need to buy stuff, but I did. I'm getting pretty bad about that lately. Anyone who halfway pays attention to my blogs should know that. But, on the bright side my new TV ROCKS! It's wide screen which is pretty cool. I don't know much else about it. Nick helped me pick it out. I dunno much about technical kind of stuff so he was a big help. Honestly, I think he's more excited about it than I am. He's been playing with it non-stop.

Anyway, one more thing and I'll be done with this pointless-type blog. I have a thing to upload photos so maybe this weekend I will post my first picture entry. That would be awesome. I'm pretty excited about that. 😁

Ok, THE END.

I should really be sleeping right now.

Yep, I should totally be asleep. I have to work in the morning and stuff. I have a feeling I can't sleep tonight for the same reason I couldn't sleep last night... that reason might be the antibiotics I'm on. Ahhh, antibiotics. I'm taking them right now for the volcano I grew on my chin. It's really worse than it sounds. It's an abscess and if you've ever had one you know the pain I've experienced for the last three days. What a way to start the new year. ⬅ There was some sarcasm for ya. 😝

Other than that I had some pretty rockin' holidays. My brother Cade (who is in the Army) was home for Christmas and New Years. I absolutely could NOT have asked for more. I don't think he really knows how much I miss him. But I miss the crap out of him. I told him so, too. When he got off the bus (and speaking of bus - I've always wanted to pick up someone from the bus station so he made my dreams come true) I hugged him so long that my dad finally just pulled me off him. I hugged him and cried. I only cried a little, though, so I don't think he noticed. 😉

I'm really proud of him right now. He's turning out to be quite a man. He's going through stuff right now with his soon-to-be ex-wife and his baby girl. The baby is safe because my aunt has her and that's good. I actually think that's gonna work out pretty well because our aunt will bring the baby to see him while he's still in Army school. I just feel bad for him because of what his wife is putting him through. But he's doing everything he can for his daughter and making the best of things so all I can say is that he has my support and that I am proud.

Well, I'm still not sleepy and I can't think of anything else to say so I guess I'm gonna go to my downstairs and hopefully find someone to keep me company until I am tired. Yes, I think that might work out.

Oh baby?

Yeah... oh baby. 😁 I have a new one. Rather, we have a new one. Her name is Yorda and she is about 11 weeks old. I took a picture of her, but it didn't turn out very good. She's nocturnal and I was scared to use the flash for fear of hurting her ginormous eyes. 👀

*sigh* She is so awesome. 😊 She is a sugar glider - and so far one of the cutest pets I've ever had. She's very friendly and curious, but has sharp little teeth and will bite the shit out of you. I've read that the best way to get her out of that is to let her bite you without pulling away and she'll realize that it's ineffective and stop... but it really freakin' hurts so I've not managed to not pull away yet. But there are other methods that I am trying so we'll just see how that goes.

Anyway, another fun fact about her is that she is a marsupial so she likes to be in a pouch a lot; also, she likes to be in contact with other living creatures. So that means in the daytime when she is sleeping we can wear her around in her pouch. It's supposed to get her used to our scent and get her to bond with us. It's so neat. She has to definitely be the coolest pet ever.

Also, in the last few days I've learned that she is quite the little escape artist. She gets out of her cage and I can't figure out how. 😆 I woke up this morning to her crawling around in the floor... and this evening when I got home she was just sitting atop her cage like she belonged there or something. 😂 It's very cute; I find it hard to be irritated with her (even though she managed to knock down some of my knick-knack stuffs and chewed the scroll wheel on my mouse so that it doesn't function very well). It's ok; other than my scroll wheel nothing was hurt. From watching her tonight I can totally see why everything would be knocked over, though. She's extremely clumsy, (probably because she's just a baby... and also, she probably expects her claws to catch her every time she starts to fall - but unfortunately they are no match for a metal filing cabinet and such). *sigh* Oh, she's adorable.

Anyway, she's pretty much consumed most of my attention the last few days... that and the rest of the things in my life that I have to keep up with. ... Speaking of other things in my life, my boy is finally growing one of his front teeth back. He's had both of the front ones missing for quite some time. *sigh* He's growing up so fast. He can spell some words and read a little now... sometimes I feel overwhelmed at how much he's progressing in life. It's all happening so fast and it's right in front of my face, but you can't even see it until you stop and look. *sigh* It hits you suddenly and you're left just like "whoa". Yep.

Anyhoo, Shadow really likes Yorda. He wants to play with her so bad, but we can't have a lot of people messing with her at one time until she gets trained and such. She's still too skittish around people for me to feel comfortable having her exposed to a 5 year old. And she still bites some so that wouldn't be a good thing. She seems to have a friendly nature, though, so maybe it won't be too tough to get her trained. I hope not. 😊
