Just got home a little bit ago. Fed and washed Teal'c, then put him under the lamp. He feels heavier and is pooping, so I guess that's good, right? He's a bit dehydrated and I read that feeding foods can throw them into shock if they are dehydrated, so he's been on Pedialyte with Critical Care Powder and Multi-Vitamin and Probiotic Powder mixed in. His skin is already moving back into place after I pinch him better than it was this morning, so that's something. I don't know how long it takes to hydrate a lizard, but I'm glad for the improvement. I've considered giving him fluid under the skin, but I wouldn't want to do that without guidance. Maybe it's not necessary if he's drinking on his own. When I called the vet they didn't say that they could do that, but I've heard of others doing that, so I don't even know. 😐 I kind of wish they would do that. It would hydrate him faster. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
I'm just sitting here with Teyla, letting Teal'c have the log and the light to himself. She's smacking in my ear. Wonder what the little porker is trying to tell me? LOL She is too funny. She runs after her food with gusto and excitement, and always ends up with calcium powder on her head. She's a mess. A big, fat, healthy, happy mess. LOL I need to get up a good photo of her. 🙂 Messy face and all. 😃
