Nails I wore the other day.

Nails I wore the other day. I haven't had time for anything, let alone doing / posting nails. I'm about to shower and hopefully will get them painted again before I pass out.

Anyway, this is a polish that Janet gave me. I love the hot pink / orange shift. 🙂

So today I was sitting at the break table with my boss...

So today I was sitting at the break table with my boss putting postage on postcards when we heard two sounds.  Beth thought it was a car backfiring, but I thought it sounded like a gun.  She finished up her text as I got up to get my water, and then all of a sudden, she looked out the window and was like, "IT IS A GUN!"  The jewelry company across the street, Stinson & Howard, apparently got sick of being robbed and fought back.  The owners (with guns) were chasing someone down the street.  While none of us are too keen on having shots fired in our direction, I do applaud them for not rolling over and just taking it.  Maybe if more people would fight back, criminals would think twice before robbing others.

I am just totally exhausted.

I am just totally exhausted. I also feel like I'm getting a little sick. On a more upbeat note:  Happy Birthday to my ❤! You're getting old, Shaun.  😉

SO TIRED!

SO TIRED!

My yard has seen more work this weekend than it has in FOREVER.  Thanks to Mom, Bobby, Shaun, and even Shadow pitching in my yard is actually somewhat presentable right about now.  I've still got a limb down that the chainsaw won't cut through, (honestly, it's a tree-sized limb), a big nest of brush in the middle of the yard, and that pesky "threatening to rip your cable line down" limb still hanging up there, but everything else is better.

The grass is cut, most of the limbs are gone, and the fence is repaired.  I don't think y'all understand the hugeness of these limbs.  My pecan trees are SO OLD and the limbs they drop are the equivalent of good sized trees.  Like seriously - a foot in diameter.  I think it took 7+ trips from a truck with a trailer to get all of that cleaned up.  Anyway, I'm so glad it's done.  I know that everyone is exhausted, though.  I sure am.
So with all that work I only broke two nails!  LOL  Honestly, I don't really care about that too much.  They will grow the hell back - no biggie.  But one is a serious nub.  😛

No takers on pecan logs?

No takers on pecan logs?  Nice and fresh, and I have some about a foot in diameter.  Right now they are long logs, but not for much longer.  We can't possibly move them with as heavy as they are.  Free to good home.  LOL

Also, had to take the fence down to get the limb down.  That makes me SO UNCOMFORTABLE, but the dogs are locked in, so I'm surviving it.  I guess the project for the day now is to move enough wood to get the fence back up.
