I got my new plates!!!
I got my new plates!!! I have no idea if I'm actually doing nails tonight or not. I'm kind of tired. But we'll see. 😉
So my good buddy Laurel...
So my good buddy Laurel brought me another dragon last night. Her name is Pomona, and she's cute! She's grown up, but small for her age. Much darker than Teyla, and wayyy more spikey. Supposedly more spunky, but she hung out last night like "Whatever." 🙂 Oh my gosh, though - when I fed her this morning, she was SO into it. I've NEVER seen a dragon so excited about food! She hopped off her log, stood up all tall, and went after her crickets like "Bitch, please." Same with her salad - she was snatching it out of my hand before I could even put it down! I have a feeling that she's gonna be hilarious. 😃 Maybe I'll get a video of her eating soon. LOL
Also, she loves Shaun. For a lizard that is supposedly not tame, she sure did sit with him last night and pitch a fit when he put her down! He has a way with the ladies, I suppose. LOL

So these are my first official Halloween nails.
So these are my first official Halloween nails. I did the orange and black ones first, and by the time I got to the 2nd hand I was tired of blowing* so it looked kind of crappy. I started thinking about how it would be more gruesome in red, like BLOOD, so I re-did the second hand the next night. I think both hands turned out fine, but the orange and black is my favorite. It's more cute and fun. I'm not really into gross and blood and guts. Which ones do you like better?
*Blowing because I painted down a base color, and then blew the 2nd color onto my nails with a straw. It's not as easy as it sounds - especially with the nail polish fumes. Blegh.

I've officially worn my fire nails for a week.
I've officially worn my fire nails for a week. It is VERY UNUSUAL for me to keep the same paint job for so long. But, they have stayed on like WHOA - I can't believe that I'm just now showing minor tip wear! That is madness. I'm not complaining, though - that's pretty exciting!
Usually my paint jobs don't last that long - they chip or peel off after a few days. My average is a good 4 or 5 days, tops. Even if they don't wear off I'm always excited to try something new, and I get bored really fast so I just take them off anyway. I couldn't do that with these, though. I was too proud of them! LOL
So, I'm not really a holiday-themed kind of girl. I don't like to dress up or do anything out of the ordinary, especially for something as dumb as a holiday. But I must have the Halloween spirit this year because I think I'm gonna do Halloween-themed nails from now until Halloween. I have about 4 cute manicures in mind - maybe they won't be so awesome that I don't want to take them off. LOL If I don't take them off, I won't have time to do all 4 before the big day!
I've got a few neat Halloween stamping plates (not to mention my MONSTERS that will hopefully arrive this week) so if anyone wants some cute nails, I'm up for doing them! If there is any interest I'll post photos of my plates so you can check them out. Just let me know!
