In both instances, some grown-up thought I was a kid doing wrong things. Like taking candy (when I was dumping a bag in the bucket to be given out) or going into my boss's house. Um, yeah, I was invited, thankyouverymuch!  The guy who thought I was stealing candy grabbed my arm, and the lady who thought I was sneaking into the party yelled at me.

That's what I get for being little. 😕

Last Halloween nails.

Last Halloween nails.  I have a few stamping plates that have similar / coordinating images on them, so I went for more skittles.  None of them are exactly the same and I kind of like it like that.  🙂

Also, I need a thicker orange to stamp with.  I COULD NOT get my left thumb to show up any darker.  I used a different image plate on it than I did on the right thumb.  That also makes a difference.  The glare on the photo doesn't help, either.  But anyway.  There they are.  🙂

Have you ever worn underpants...

Have you ever worn underpants that you were like, 95% certain the manufacturers sewed the tag on the front instead of the back?  I'm having one of those days.  @_@

This took forever - mostly trying to find polishes that would work and look mummy-ish. The colors still might be off, but I always think of mummies as dirty (or at least dusty), seeing as how they are crawling up out of pyramids and whatnot. Then getting the stripe design right was hard, too. All in all, it was a rough start, but not so bad by the time I got it going.

My favorite nail is the middle one, which is the one I accidentally marbled twice. But I think it gives the wrapped look more detail and depth, which I really like. By the time I did that I was really tired and NOT up for going back and double-marbling all of them. So it is what it is, but I do like how they turned out. I think they are cute!

Gotta give credit where credit is due - Shaun drew the black on with a nail art pen. I didn't want to. I thought I'd jack them up. 🙂

Had a nice morning with Shaun.  Then this afternoon he helped me put up my new outdoor lights that have been sitting in my room collecting dust for, oh, half a year or so.  LOL  I cleaned my gutters since his ladder was here, so I can now check that one off the old to-do list.  THEN, we snuck off and had dinner together.  Just the two of us.  That was lovely.  Nothing fancy, but I did need the break from kids and dogs and... well, everyone, really.  I've been feeling really overwhelmed and disconnected, so that was just what I needed.

For now, I'm going to start some laundry and then sit down, digest this food, catch a movie with Shaun and work on some more Halloween nails.  🙂

Woohoo for a nice, laid-back weekend!  I guess next weekend, I'll be running back to Birmingham, hopefully for the last time.  Me and Teyla both are ready for her little leg to be healed and for her to be unwrapped.  Paws crossed!
