I started with a white background...

I started with a white background thinking that would be a good base for some Christmas-themed stuff, but I just couldn't get into it. I sat and looked at my image plates. And then my colors. And then my image plates again. Nothing even close to holiday came to mind. This is what I ended up with, and I rather like it. All you need is some striping tape!

Wow.  The VP of guest relations for Arby's just called me.  UNLIKE the manager who spoke to me before, this guy was apologetic and very nice.  He said that he wishes the manager who'd called me had been a more sensitive and understanding and that he wishes there had been more time given before my car was towed.

He said that they are going to pay me back for my car being towed.  I could almost cry!

Ok, fine.

Ok, fine.  I'm admitting that I'm tired.  I am about to go to bed so I will stop pestering Shaun.  He sounded like he wanted to hang out, but by the time I was able he was about crashed out.

I know how I feel when someone I'm hanging out with has tons more energy than I do.  It's not pleasant.

So... I'm gonna be a good girlfriend and not annoy the shit out of my sweet guy.  I think I've done about enough of that for one day.  😛

I'm just gonna stay in my room where they are safe. Away from me. Haha.)

(When Shadow was a baby I used to spend hours trying to make him laugh. Now that he's older and he's got a friend over, it's like, "They are up to something. What are they doing?" It's just not the same. The kind of laugh it was made me think they were up to no good. LOL Plus, it was really late.)

I hate that part of the day where I have to, you know, wake up and do things.  😕  At least it's Friday.

I am super annoyed, though.  The weather has been perfect for bike-riding all week while I've had to work.  Now that the weekend is here, it looks like rain.  What an ass.  Yeah, I'm calling the weather an ass.  😐

I keep thinking...

I keep thinking that I'm gonna sit down and do something awesome and festive, but I just haven't been in the mood.  I didn't have a plan when I started this.  I just picked out a gray, knew I wanted some black in the mix, and then went for it.  I guess it's not UN-festive.  It has colorful glitter on it.  LOL

That is not a weird nail-mole on my ring finger.  It's actually a cute little heart-shaped stud, but the angle does it no justice.  It just looks weird, and I couldn't get a better shot without photographing my nails from the side.  Oh well!

The Opossum Drop in Brasstown, NC will once again be allowed ON New’s Year Eve 2014. The NC Legislature passed a bill in attempt to allow Clay Logan to drop an opossum in a plexi glass box. The opossum, a shy, easily stressed creature will be captured, held in captivity, dropped in the box and released, if it survives. Not only is this capture, handling and stress cruel to the animal— is it dangerous. Opossums are susceptible to a stress-based disease. The Opossums held in captivity by Clay Logan and dropped for entertainment have shown symptoms of this disease. Photographic evidence documents this fact. 

These docile animals are being dropped in clear boxes surrounded by threatening noise of New Year's celebration and blinding lights that they have no hope of escaping from. Year after year they are plucked from their habitat and exposed to things that terrify them with no hope of escape.

PETA has returned to court to oppose the Opossum Drop at Brasstown, NC. The judge saw merit in all the findings by the attorney's as to how this drop can and does harm the opossums, aside from it being cruel. However, he has allowed the NC Wildlife Resources Commission (Gordon Myers, Director) one week to come up with a new set of standards for the exploitative drop. This includes ways to keep the opossum safe from the elements that cause it stress e.g. (flashing lights, cannons, guns and fire crackers, cold, and lack of hiding spaces). If they can come up with acceptable standards they will be allowed to issue the permit. But how can a box be made heated, soundproof, and dark?
