It's been a while since I posted an update.

It's been a while since I posted an update. I'm doing ok - just really busy. We've been cleaning and purging and organizing and painting and repairing the houses. Things are coming along. I really wanted to have everything done before school starts back on the 20th. I think it's do-able, but we'll see.

While cleaning out my bedroom I found a stun gun, a dagger, two hand guns, two hatchets, and a machete. Like, I knew it was all there, but I'm not used to seeing it all together. 😂😂😂 Gotta be prepared, I suppose.

One other thing:  You know what I'm currently appreciating? That I don't have to deal with shopping for school supplies or getting kids ready to go back to school. That was always so stressful. I saw the school supplies being put out in Wal-Mart a while back and thought to myself "Haha! Not me!" Before any of you think I'm the worst parent ever, I'm probably not. I'm just excited that the kids have passed that milestone and are on to whatever they decide comes next. While it might not be the usual "mom" reaction, it's mine and I'm pretty sure it's valid. 

Anyway, how are you all doing? Asking because I really want to know. Talk to me! I got used to having at least some social interaction with a couple of girlfriends, but that was put on hold the last few weeks so we could get stuff done. I'm planning to get back to "normal" this week. At least resuming yoga with Dinorah and probably bugging Meia at some point. 😜

And with that I'm off until later. I've got more work to do. Fun!

Shaun and I pulled an all-nighter together last night...

Shaun and I pulled an all-nighter together last night to make some serious headway on a "getting rid of this carpet" mission.  We cleared part of his hallway and all of his living room.  We spent hours prying up nail strips and picking staples / tacks / whatever they are out of the floor with tools BY HAND.  Needless to say that my hands are sore, and neither of us escaped unscathed.  I think we both stepped on a couple of nails and Shaun probably got more hand punctures than I did, but my bones hurt so we're even.  😜

By 5 this morning we had worked up an appetite, so we took the kids an went to IHOP for breakfast.  We saw a beautiful sunrise beginning as we drove over the bypass on the way home.

As great as it was to get some things accomplished and see that sight I'm paying for it now with a weird "I know you haven't slept" headache in my brain, some exhaustion, and what looks to be about an 8 o'clock bedtime tonight.  LOL  So with that, I'm off.

Everyone but me slept today and got their rest, but I've been trying to get back to a somewhat "normal" schedule, so I stayed busy for most of the day and now I'm turning in.  I hope you all are doing well!  ❤

Have you ever noticed smears on the side mirrors of your car?  Recently, I've been seeing some serious smears on mine and I was like "It honestly looks like a bird shit there and then flapped in it."  Shaun Googled it and I'm like "There is no way this is a thing.  Someone is pranking me."

But apparently it IS a thing.  Male birds are trying to fight off the "rival" males in the mirrors and it gets messy.

I went out to run some errands earlier and caught a Cardinal about to square up with the mirror, so I finally found out who's making the mess.  😂😂😂  Animals can be so entertaining.

I'm terrible at keeping a schedule when I have nothing pressing to do.

I'm terrible at keeping a schedule when I have nothing pressing to do. I've only been out of bed today to use the bathroom. 😱 Other than that, I've been snoozing. I think I'm going to have to stay awake until this time tomorrow to get right. Ahh, vacation. 😂😂😂
