Sunday...

Sunday, we had Weck's right after the airport, then went riding around and hiked to see some Petroglyphs at the Petroglyph National Monument. Afterwards, we had some delicious green chile and pepperoni pizza from Dion's.

Monday, we had a balloon ride (our third one with Rainbow Ryders, Inc. Hot Air Balloon Co. - Albuquerque), went to US Forest Service - Cibola National Forest & National Grasslands, then to The Range Café. The food was delicious. Janet had the green chile apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and seemed to love it.

We've been going pretty hard...

We've been going pretty hard since picking up our friends from the airport on Sunday. We've had a great time. I had to sit down and cuddle some kitties last night, though. I feel like I was missed.

Editing to add that we don't usually leave Bear loose in the house when we're not here... Mostly because we're never not here. But we have been leaving him alone with Cub and he's been great. We're so proud of him! 😊

Yesterday we were in the pool...

Yesterday we were in the pool and a bug (kind of ant-looking) fell in. I got them out, then it pulled 2 of it's wings off right in front of me.

Talk about traumatized! I was straight up flabbergasted!

Despite Shaun fussing at me to rest...

Despite Shaun fussing at me to rest, I got a lot done today. If I'd sat down and done nothing, I would have been so stressed. 😂

We're picking our friends up from the airport on Sunday morning, so doing nothing around the house wasn't an option. We've been complete slobs for months. It was past time to get out of that slump.

Thankfully, I am feeling much better today all around. I am eating more than I want with my antibiotic, and that's helped keep the nausea at bay. I guess my stomach has shrank a little. I swear I was full off the grits I ate with it yesterday, but maybe that was a dumb choice to begin with. I have no idea. 😂

Anyway. We're going to finish whipping things into shape tomorrow, and then we'll have 10 days of fun with our friends. I definitely need this and I'm super excited!

We're not having a wonderful day...

We're not having a wonderful day like I thought we might considering I was up early despite still being sick.

This antibiotic has my stomach AND intestines messed up. I ate when I took it this morning, but it and my breakfast came up. I just took Imodium to hopefully settle my butt.

Shaun says our savings are looking rough and I still haven't gotten any job replies. Also, Bear jumped up and busted Shaun's lip with his teeth this morning. Booger was just excited and caught Shaun off guard. Plus, poor Shaun is dealing with my sick ass.

Harley is over here trying his best to love us up and make things better. He's rubbing and purring like it'll fix everything. It's a little annoying, but I appreciate his efforts. I was trying to redo my gel because it's lifting and Harley is knocking shit all over the place. Thankfully, he's settled a bit.

These sweet babies may not actually make everything better all the time, but ya gotta love them anyway.
