I am a bit bummed... there's a pretty flower tree near my house and now it's broken.  🙁  Stupid wind.

My new foster guy!  I will have him for a bit - he's got some surgery to go through and needs to get big and strong.  He's SO sweet and gentle.  I like having him around!

I have a new foster named Sherbert.  He's a Great Pyr, and he's the SWEETEST THING.  He's such a gentleman and has great manners - a true pleasure to have around.  I am sure he will be adopted quickly once he's over his knee surgeries and all healthy again.  ❤

I'm up early again - despite not getting enough sleep every day since almost a week ago. I hope I'm not a Grumpasauras Rex again today. Yesterday I just couldn't manage to be happy for the most part. The forecast for the rest of the week and into the weekend is BUSY, so blegh. I guess I can rest when I'm dead. Happy Thursday. ❤

I have been hearing a strange noise for the last few minutes... I just figured out that it was Booka snoring in the next room.  I have to wake him up and put him in his room so I can go to work!  I hate to do it.  He sounds like he's sleeping good!

Spay & Neuter your pets!

No one - no animal OR person - needs a litter of kids in my honest opinion.  I would neuter my kid if I had the option.  😃

[Not really - I know he has rights.  But it would be AWESOME if there was a way to turn your child's junk off from working until they were responsible and financially sound enough to handle a kid of their own.  You know - just a temporary thing - for everyone's benefit.]

This is my room full of dogs!  Poor pups.  They don't care about the floor - they're just happy to be inside again.  This is 6 of the 8 who live here - 3 of which are fosters.

This is what we worked so hard on this weekend...

This is what we worked so hard on this weekend. The floor turned out the totally wrong color, but I'll live.  It will be so much easier to clean up after the dogs than bare concrete.  The floor still needs some wax and we need to put the molding back around the bottom of the walls.  I also bought my tub today - they are getting HOOKED UP!  😃

Shaun and I have worked all weekend...

Shaun and I have worked all weekend on the dog's floor. Almost no sleep trying to get it done and the color doesn't look anything like it was supposed to. It's also bumpy and not drying fast enough. On the bright side my floor is CLEAN and the room looks much BRIGHTER. I'll get over the color - at this point I just want it done!

I just found out that Chester is now named Bowski!  I ❤ it!  Banjo and Bowski... I wonder if the girls got new names, too?  😃

I have had an awesome day.  Both Chester and Cupcake's new families have emailed pictures to me.  They look so loved!  To all of those who had a hand in caring for my pups (helping with puppy milk, etc) all the way up to their adoption - THANK YOU.  I am so relieved and happy for them.  I could not have done this alone.  ❤

I am officially puppy-less.  Chester and Cupcake headed home this morning! Down to 8 dogs here... for now.  o_O

I just literally scared the piss out of my cat. She didn't know I was at the door she was walking up to and when I opened it she ran all over the next room - leaving a trail of pee behind her. She finally stopped on top of the couch with her hair all standing on end. I really thought she saw me - I HOPE that I'm what scared her.  😳  If not - something spooky just happened!

I am having a dog party Wednesday starting at 6!  Might be the last one for a while - it's for the last two puppies!  Then, I'll have to start working on getting my adults adopted out!

I need to know if anyone out there wants a little silver storage building.  It's got one leak in the roof (probably an easy patch), but otherwise in good shape.  I don't need or want it - it came with the house.  It's free if you can just get it out of here.  Taking down my fence to get it out is not an option.

I just realized today that if I go to my high school reunion my son will very likely be taller than me.  How weird is that?  I'm not sure how I feel about being outgrown already...  😳

OMG - never been there before, but House of Chen in Saks just rocked our faces off.  WOW.  And the sweet tea is AMAZING.  I'm glad to have such a yummy place so close by.  AND they deliver.  😃😃😃

I just found DiGiorno pizza... with chocolate chip cookies in the same box.  Of course I thought to myself "This is just what America needs..." but then I went off and bought one myself.  I eat well most of the time so I don't really feel too bad about it.

I had fun at the lake with MaMaw, but she started freaking after the walk so I had to take her home.  Easier said than done; she said I was a little girl and that someone needed to come and get her.  I love her, but she scares the hell out of me.  Alzheimer's SUCKS.

There is a little old...

There is a little old black cocker-spaniel looking dog in my neighborhood.  I haven't seen him around before, but he was soaked to the bone this morning and I couldn't get my hands on him.  He's got tags and a collar, but snarls when I try to touch him.  Any advice?  Anyone missing this dog?  Please share so we can get him back home!

With all of the bad things that go on in the world here's a little something that will make you cry happy tears.  Check out the happiness on these people's faces as they finally meet their newest family members.  Lester was on this transport.

These were the other dogs who went home at the same time as Brownie.  Thank you, Peace and Paws Dog Rescue, for sharing these precious moments with us.  It can be so hard to let them go, but seeing them with their new families is affirmation that you've done the right thing.  I love it!

I almost got myself microchipped today...

I almost got myself microchipped today. It was totally my fault - I should have been holding Brownie better. It caught me off-guard how strong she is (I've held dogs for many things in my time - dumb mistake). Nice, sharp needle, though - I didn't even know it happened until I saw all of the blood. I have a little crescent-shaped puncture; I hope it leaves a cool scar. 😃
