To before it died.

Part of my dog pack, of which only Faith and Booka remain. My old house where I fostered animals and changed lives, where I raised my son, and where I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning getting to know the love of my life. I'm thankful for photos like these - they take me back to my house - to before it died.

This photo got me by the heart today. Almost all of these sweet kids are dead and it happened within the span of 2 years. Dahlia was adopted out into a great home and is hanging in there, despite her age. Faith (in the back) is still with me, as is Booka (not pictured). Of course the Guinea Pigs are gone, as well. Little guys don't last as long. 😥

I'm stuck in a weird place in life. I still mourn my losses. The future looks ok - assuming I get there. Now feels strange, hard, and transitional.

I love it when...

I love it when Niq asks me for an orange all sweetly, then snatches it from me when I bring it to him.  It cracks me up!  "May I please have an orange?"  ...  "Give me my orange, bitch!"  😂😂😂

Got Niq and Thumper a new hutch today.  It's really cute and I think they're going to like it!  Just gotta adjust the bottom so that it's more secure and then I can move them in!  Also got in the flooring that I ordered from Lowe's - so I can finally rip up two more rooms of carpet!  GOOD RIDDANCE - I hate that stuff!  Now I'm off to hang with Shadow and do my nails then call it a night.  Gotta be at Pickette's EARLY in the morning to get 3 of Mom's cats on the transport to the Spay / Neuter clinic in Irondale.  Very excited about that!  😃  No more kittens at her house this year!  😃😃😃

I have to tell you something.

Leigh, Susanne - I have to tell y'all something.  Susan brought a bunny to my house to keep my guinea pig company.  Balthazar REALLY loves hanging out with those two so I open the cage when I'm home and he goes in to chill with the guys.  It's REALLY FREAKIN' ADORABLE.  😍  Well tonight Thumper must have been feeling amorous or either Balthazar is sending mixed signals about their friendship because Thumper started humping Balthazar and chased him around when he would move.  Balthazar eventually had to just leave the cage.  He looked so bewildered!  And I laughed SO HARD because what the hell?  I've never seen inter-species man love like that!  😂  Honestly I'm just stoked that they all get along.  I ❤❤❤ that.  🙂

Ok, just thought my day couldn't get any better, but it TOTALLY DID.

Just found out that I have THREE g-pig loving cats. Leigh, I will have to get video of Niq and Balthazar for you. My pig just pulled his ear and all Balthazar did in response was get comfy and sniff his nose. HOW SWEET!!!

I've been happy all day...

I've been happy all day for no particular reason. Then it only got better. 😀 Came home and Mary Beth and Jack gave me an AWESOME hat, scored some pretty colors on clearance at Wal-Mart, AND they had the tea I wanted so bad! And tomorrow I get to watch a neuter surgery! Woohoo! Now I'm off to clean Niq's place and mayhaps do my nails. 🤎

Lots of inter-species love happening tonight - Midna was so happy to see Booka's little stinky butt that she pulled his hair and then rolled on the floor from... I don't know, joy?  Snaga is, by her own choice, hanging out with Niq, the lone g-pig.  I love it when everyone gets along so great.  🙂  And on that happy, sweet note, I'm taking myself to bed.  Goodnight, all!

It does suck, but I think he might have just died of old age. That makes me feel better than to think he might have been suffering an illness.

I think I have a sick g-pig.  🙁  I just cleaned his cage and he didn't run away from me as he usually does.  When I picked him up he felt thin.  And he refused to eat an orange.  NOT GOOD.  Calling the vet in the morning.  I hope he will be ok.  ❤

I didn't clean Oogy's tank, or clean the g-pig's cage, or the litter box, or do the laundry, or the dishes.  I didn't even shower today.  That might have been just what I needed - a day to be a total bum.  🙂  My chores will be there tomorrow!

I am eating bananas in dark chocolate for breakfast.  Yes - breakfast at 2:30 pm.  Anyway, I think I will hook up the parakeet and g-pigs today.  Maybe cut my grass if I have some time left.  Shelby:  I haven't forgotten our meeting, but I don't have a working car right now.  😳  I'm going to have to find a ride to bum!

I did not accomplish all of the things I wanted to today.  A much-needed nap happened, the g-pigs have a nice clean home, and I tidied the house, but the yard did not get done.  Hopefully, I can finish all that up tomorrow and spend the rest of the week vacationing!

Calvin and Cal are settled in. Time to move the kittens to a better space, then perhaps clean the g-pigs' cage. Then what? Scoop the poop and mow the lawn? Time to play catch-up!

I have had a busy day.

I have had a busy day. Me and Shaun moved the g-pigs to a bigger cage and the parakeets to a palace!  They've got a cage taller than me now! It was my old ferret cage - two stories with ramps. Take all the ramps and dividers out and two little birdies have room to FLY! 😃 Unfortunately, my little cripple seems to not be able to. Maybe with space to exercise and time...

I have given the cats the dog fountain, cleaned the fish tank, given Oogy a live plant, given the other fishies more plants, and cleaned the g-pigs cage.  I was hoping to wash the dogs, but I'm otherwise ok with today's accomplishments. Now my back hurts and I'm going to go sit with my sore back and enjoy the rest of my night.  🙂

I am a good driller.

I am a good driller.  Me and Shaun are upgrading the guinea pigs from a boring flat cage to one with 2 stories and platforms!  It's taking a little handy work, but it will be worth it if they ❤ it!
