I went to bed so early last night and slept like a rock.  It was awesome, and MUCH needed.  The only time I sleep any better is if I run away to Shaun's place.

Now I need a good STREEETCH and I think I'll be ready to get my day started.  🙂

Damn, I needed some color after a couple of days of those dark sandpaper claws. 😳 This is more like it. 😃 I guess I'm not that into dark vampy colors. Now I know.

As a general rule I don't feed my animals people food because it usually isn't very good for them.  Once in a while I will give them a treat, though.

HOWEVER, giving a squirrel a BITE of ice cream when he wants the whole thing just isn't that easy.  You switch your ice cream to the other hand and he simply runs down the other arm to steal a bite.  Not so easy to play keep-away with him, so I guess I can't be eating ice cream with him around.  LOL

I found out today that Dunk REALLY REALLY likes vanilla ice cream with the chocolate shell.  Added bonus for him is the popsicle stick is wood AND has some chocolate coating left on it.  He seems to take after his mama in that the chocolate shell is his favorite part.  😉

So Shaun took a little video of him enjoying some ice cream.  I'm waiting for it to finish uploading so I can share it with you.  He's a hoot.  😃  An adorable little hoot.  ❤

I got a few of the new OPI Liquid Sand polishes.

I got a few of the new OPI Liquid Sand polishes. I really like that they have texture AND sparkle. The only problem with the textured polishes is that I can't think of a lot of ways to do nail art with them, other than tape manicures of some sort. If you top-coat them like crazy, you could probably stamp over them or something, but I don't feel it's worth the effort. I really like the look of the sandy texture, anyway. Feels really nice when you have an itch, too. Like you have little pieces of sandpaper attached to your fingers. 😃

I don't usually like wearing really dark colors, but I do like this one. I think the pink glitter helps. 🙂

Even though the textured polishes aren't shiny, I dig them more than smooth matte nails. I think that the smooth matte looks really neat, but I hate the way it feels when I touch it. It totally weirds me out. LOL But texture, I can deal with.

Sorry for the weird hand angle and all that. My camera screen is still jacked, so just pointing and shooting and hoping for the best. LOL

Babysitting Barney and Fred...

Babysitting Barney and Fred so they can get some exercise. Fred actually ventured out of the cage today! All on his own. He got in my lap before deciding that the floor was ok. 😂 Of course he held on to the cage until the last possible second with his tail, but he did let go. He's been dragging around a box of cage liners for the last 5 minutes. I think he's found a toy. 🙂

These guys are pretty sweet.  They have really wet noses, though. I feel like I need a shower. They've been snotting on me off and on for about a half hour. 😛

Shaun's gone to the lake for the holiday

Shaun's gone to the lake for the holiday, so I'm here celebrating Independence Day by being independent.  😂😂😂  I usually don't do any celebrating on the 4th anyway because I don't drink, and I don't want fireworks at my house, and I can't go watch fireworks because of my redneck-ass neighborhood.  I worry about what damage might be done to my property, or jerks trying to scare or hurt my animals, so I sit here and hold down the fort.  That's ok because I'm not really into people or celebrations anyway.

Since Shaun isn't around I think it's a good couple of days to fast.  I think I mostly eat because he wants to go out and who can argue with that?  If I had to put more effort into eating I'd be skinnier.  Because it's too much trouble and I'm not into all that "cooking and cleaning up" junk.

I guess it's also a good day to organize my bedroom a little bit and move some stuff around.  I've been itching to do that all week, but I was trying to spend time with Shaun while I had it.  It sucks because I feel like I've barely seen him.  This vacation has rolled by wayyy too fast.  What a bummer.  Maybe next time we need to leave for a weekend or something and get away for a few days.  It's just hard for me to do that because I live with a zoo.

Anyway, that's my plan for the day.  I'm doing pretty much the opposite of what everyone else is doing.  Sounds about right.  😉
