Totally nevermind that last post.

Totally nevermind that last post.  I forgot there was a load of clothes in my dryer.  LOL  I am wayyy too excited right now.  My brain derped.  😛

HOLY SHIT - DRYERS ACTUALLY DO EAT SOCKS.

HOLY SHIT - DRYERS ACTUALLY DO EAT SOCKS.  I FOUND A PILE OF SOCKS BEHIND MY LINT THINGY.

I just opened up my dryer.

Y'ALL.  I just opened up my dryer.  It took like, a whopping 5 minutes and I found SO MUCH SHIT in the thing behind my lint trap.  Dust, screws, fur / hair, a PENCIL.  😳  It was seriously compacted in there.  I imagine that due to the amount of animal laundry I do mine probably clogs faster than most, but now I TOTALLY get why it wasn't drying.

If your dryer gets hot but is now taking several cycles to dry please watch this video and try a simple DIY fix before spending a chunk on a repair guy or new dryer.  Seriously, 30 minutes of your time (including the cleaning and putting back together) and you might be good to go.  I'll let you know if mine doesn't work still, but I bet it does.

Also, that had to be a fire hazard.  😳

I will commence with the cleaning and putting back together now.  I was just excited that I found a clump of nasty to blame my problem on.  😃

Did the Anniston Downtown Market this morning.

Did the Anniston Downtown Market this morning.  It was a lot busier, but I sold only two things.  That was kind of a bummer because I was really hoping to get enough money to buy some more supplies, but maybe I'll get some Etsy sales this week.  My mom and brother did much better this time so that's good.

We had a tent and I was not sick as hell today.  I ended up with a pink face and slight headache.  Ran out without sunblock because I'm not good at early mornings.  I will make sure to have some with me next time.  I did take a nap when I got home because I didn't sleep as much as I needed to last night.  I was too into working on jewelry.  I got started and couldn't stop.  I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to glue my new stones into things and photograph them tomorrow, but they aren't quite dry enough and I don't want to ruin them.  So I have to wait and it sucks, but hopefully my patience will pay off.  If all goes as planned I will have some pretty neat new things with me next week, so yay for that.  😃

I have to check my inventory later to make sure, but I have a feeling that someone took one of my rings without paying.  Hopefully I miscounted, but Mom also ended up missing a corset, so I'm not so sure.  I'm sharing her attitude of "I guess they needed it more than I did" and am not gonna let it get to me.  But if something is missing I need find out what it was so I can replace it ASAP or remove it from my Etsy.

Other than that we moved my dryer out from the wall a little bit ago and cleaned the tube thing.  It had some dust in it, but not too bad.  We went outside and found where the pipe comes out of the house and cleaned some lint out of it, as well.  We turned on the dryer (without the tube thing attached) and it seems to be blowing just fine, but I'm still going to take the back off and clean it while it's not against the wall.  Might as well be thorough while we're doing all of this.

So, that's what's been going on with me today.  I feel so busy and like I'm probably missing a bunch of cool shit here on the Internet, but I think jewelry has to be the priority right now.  OxfordFest is coming up soon and I don't have nearly as much made as I want to.  I know this might be a lofty goal, but if I could make at least $1000 from it that would help me a lot.  Well, of course, every little bit helps, but I would love to just KICK ASS and make a good chunk of money.  LOL  I have no idea what to expect, but I know it's huge and more of my target group of shoppers will be there, so maybe it is possible.

Anyway, I guess I'm off to do things.  I hope everyone is doing well!  ❤

Heading to the Anniston Downtown Market.

Heading to the Anniston Downtown Market.  Come and see me!

In other news:  My cats infiltrated my bedroom.  That's right - one of them has learned how to open the door.  😳

Time to get this Friday started!

Time to get this Friday started!  I have a lot I want to accomplish at my day job at SCM.  Then I need to get home and prepare to take my Polish All the Things jewelry to the Farmer's Market in Anniston on Saturday.  I'm hoping to have a few new things to take, but we'll see.  I've been working on new stuff all week, but I am not sure it will be done in time to go.  😕

At the very least I am going to sleep tonight.  LOL

I am guessing that most of you didn't know this, but it takes several days to a week to complete one item.  😳  I know that sounds crazy, but there are usually 5 - 6 layers of polish on each piece and they all need to dry THOROUGHLY before I add the next layer of polish and especially before the glue comes into play.  Then the glue needs another 24 hours to cure.  So yeah.  LOL

Due to that I usually make things in batches.  My batches start out at like 20 pieces, but by the end it's usually down to 10 that come out how I want them to.  I'm a perfectionist, so sometimes I probably scrap things that are ok, but if people are paying money for this stuff then I'm gonna make sure it's worth paying for to the best of my ability.

Anyway, if you like anything on my Etsy / Polish page, get it now because I'm probably going to close my Etsy temporarily while I'm at the Farmer's Market until I get my inventory updated.  I guess that's the down-side to selling both places, but I need to make some money.  The Farmer's Market was actually pretty cool, too, so as long as I can keep from getting sick it's a go.  😃

Later, friends!  🙂  HAPPY WEEKEND!

Shaun, I just saw baby Anansi - OUT.

Shaun, I just saw baby Anansi - OUT.  Not out of her cage, but out of her hide.  I gave her a roach.  🙂

For anyone who might be wondering why that's news - we haven't seen in her almost 3 weeks.  We discovered that we could pick up her cage and see her on the bottom glass in her web-cave, but she hasn't been out.  She appears to have molted and I read that she should not be disturbed, so I've left her alone.  She hasn't eaten in all this time, either, but she looked just fine.  If I put any bugs in there when she's not out they just hide and she never finds them, so that's a waste.

It might just be that I haven't seen her in a while, but she does look a bit bigger.  Wish I could have gotten a photo, but she ran away immediately.  At least she got some dinner, though.
