I have the sweetest boyfriend.

I have the sweetest boyfriend.  He has bought me two new bicycles in two days.  LOL

We found one at Target yesterday that wasn't hideous and ACTUALLY fit me.  I wasn't FOND of what it looked like (red, white and silver - not bad), definitely better than the 80's barfing up a unicorn one that we saw at Wal-Mart.  So we brought it home last night, and I rode it a little, and it was ok.  It was making noise and doing some weird bump thing, and I couldn't go as fast I remember riding when I was a kid.  It had no gears, and backwards brakes - just like I wanted.  But, I realized I wouldn't be able to do much with it.

So we went to Dick's today and I found one I REALLY like.  It does have gears and handlebar brakes, but that's ok.  I'm already almost used to the brakes.  I haven't a clue about this 21 gears thing, though.  I don't like how I'll be pedaling, but it feels like I'm doing nothing sometimes.  I guess it'll take some getting used to.  I'm ok with the gears and hand brakes because I'm not leaning over crazy far.  That was the big no-no for me.  I didn't want to be laying all down on my face to ride it.  LOL  And, it's fucking pretty.  It's purple and vine-y.  😃  Woohoo!  🙂

Before anyone thinks we're crazy, YES, we will be taking the crappier one back to Target.  I don't need to have two bikes.  LOL

Oh, and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice bike at Dick's.  It was less than $200, but it was really nice.  That's a good middle ground (to me, anyway).  Not Wal-Mart quality, but not specialty bike store prices, either.  I can't believe how much some bicycles cost.  😳

I don't think I've ever seen an M&M the color of my ring finger, but they should TOTALLY make that. Who doesn't want booger colored candy on Halloween? And Shaun tried to convince me to go with a red base on my pointer finger, but I was afraid that would look too much like Christmas. So, since purple and green are the other two Halloween colors (in my head, anyway) it is what it is.

I think they are pretty cute, but I am honestly kind of burnt out on Halloween. Maybe I won't do the whole month next year. LOL

Me and Shadow were on our way home from Munford when we saw two dogs on the side of the road, stuck together.  Now I'd heard about this, but had never personally witnessed it.  He was like, "Are they conjoined?"  And I was like, "No... their, um, genitals stick together when they have sex."

His next question was "That doesn't happen to people, does it!?"  He sounded scared.  It would have been really funny if I'd just rolled with that, but I told him the truth.  He sounded relieved, and said "Good.  That looks painful."  It really kind of did.  😳

I went to the side door to let my awesome Emma J. go potty, and there were chickens out there (not mine, I'm guessing they belong to one of my neighbors).  I asked her to please not chase them, so we sat and watched them scratch for a while.  Emma is the best girl.  BEST.

Anyway, as we sat there watching the chickens scratch, I noticed one doing something odd.  Something familiar.  Something a little crooked.  And then I just wanted to catch her and hug her.  SUGARBABY!

I have some family stuff to do in a bit, then I am coming home to do my nails.  I chipped them all up yesterday.  OF COURSE.

Also, before I started going crazy on my garage me and Shaun went looking for a bike for me.  I am really not into one with gears and handlebar brakes.  I WOULD ride one like that, but I AT LEAST want the handlebars to be pointed toward me (they make hybrid bikes that do that).  I didn't grow up leaning over to ride my bike, and I don't want to start that now.  Maybe later once I'm used to riding again, but it's been ages, for real.

Anyway, we could not find a hybrid in my size.  We did, however, find ONE plain cruiser that fit me.  But it's ugly as shit.  It's so funny.  We've been looking at bikes for over a year and this is the FIRST one that was at least comfy to ride.  So, I might end up with an ugly as shit bike.  But that's ok.  It makes me laugh.  OF COURSE the one that fits me looks like the 80's called and barfed up a rainbow.  😛

I think it's been problematic because I'm like, not grown-up sized, but I am too big for a kid's bike.  I am having #ShortGirlProblems.  😛

Holy cow, Internet, I just need to STFD for a moment.  I am SO TIRED.  I had no concrete plans today, but the weather was too nice to just sit inside so I thought I'd do some yard work.  Somehow, I got derailed and ended up cleaning out my garage - which was a HUGE undertaking.  It desperately needed to be done, though.

It floods in there so it gets musty and there are spiders and roaches (hey, better in the garage than in the house).  Apparently, I've had a squirrel or some other nut-eater sneaking in (there is a big gap under the door) and eating pecans all over the place.  I thought my trees didn't drop many this year, but maybe they were all just eaten before I noticed them.  LOL  Also, a bunch of big-ish poops were in there.  I have no idea who all has been hanging out in there.  LOL  But you know about me.  Any kind of creature needs a shelter from the elements, I don't mind helping them out.  That's ok.

Anyway, there was a lot of leaves and a lot of dirt that washed in.  Gross.  Stuff piled everywhere.  Not even sorted, just thrown in out of sheer frustration.

But now... now it's all organized and neat and it's probably cleaner than it's ever been.  😃  Also, I hit the fucking jackpot.  I found a box of animal stuff... it was all clean and ready to use.  😳  Now I also have a box of dirty animal stuff that needs washing before it can be used... but at least I know where to find things now.  It was all scattered about the garage before.  I'd gotten into the habit of just tossing things in without worrying about where it ended up.  Bad bad bad.

One other major thing I'm thrilled about:  I got smart and used the extra bricks and blocks that were in there to put things on so now nothing I care about will be ruined WHEN, not IF, it floods again.  GO ME!

It's a huge relief to have that done.  I'd wanted to clean it out forever, but just didn't have the time or energy.  Now I can work on moving what I want out of my little building into the garage and get rid of it so I'll have more space in my back yard.  Woohoo for progress!  😃

I just walked out of my bedroom and saw Beyonce heading towards the hall.  I must have startled her because she turned around and ran so fast to get behind the couch that she was sliding everywhere - she couldn't get any traction with that speed.  It was pretty hilarious.  😃

Anyone else feel chilly today?  I had to bust out with the snow pants.  I get cold easy.  LOL

Also, today was the first time I've skipped cleaning the litter boxes since I started using that new litter.  I have literally scooped them every single day.  I wanted to clean them when I got up, but I was not feeling well, then my friend showed up to get the babies and I completely forgot since it's just part of my morning routine.  I usually do it first thing and then don't think about it again until the next day.  I kind of want to do it right now... but then it might not be as much fun in the morning.  Or will it?  If I do it now, before midnight, then I guess I haven't skipped a day and my litter scooping record is intact.  😳

I spent a good chunk of the day recovering from a milk hangover. I ate some ice cream. Bad idea, but it was tasty. LOL

I didn't do my nails yesterday as planned. I have had naked nails for several days now. I'm sure that this is the longest I've gone without polish on since I got into nail art a few years back. It looks and feels weird. I am about to fix that, finally. 🙂

The old dude who was helping me asked if the planter that was leaking was for my marijuana plants.  And that made me cry.  I don't know why people think I use drugs.

This is not the only other time it happened, but it's one of the more memorable times: When I worked at Spencer Gifts, oh, 11 years ago, Shadow was like, 2 and had been sick all night and I had to be at work at the mall at like, 5 am for Black Friday. I looked like complete and utter shit since I hadn't slept much. Some old lady came in and made some comment about me partying too hard and my manager let her have it. She was like, "This kid won't even touch caffeine! She was up with her child! How dare you!" And it was really nice that someone had my back.

I don't know why it's such a big deal in my head. People can make fun of me for sooo many other things and I won't blink an eye. But that is the one that will really upset me. 😕

So... this is just a few minutes of Chupa and Scar. They are both pretty tired, so this is a lazy fight. They do get wild daily. Scar is like a ninja sometimes. LOL

I'm glad for the weekend.  I feel like I haven't had the best week.

My fun girly plans aren't happening this weekend, but I'll live.  My girls will come and see me soon and I may still get to see them on Sunday.  ❤

Since that isn't happening I was hoping to take my brother to Six Flags, but the timing is bad and so that will have to wait.

I need to take Chupa to the vet tomorrow about her skin.  She is super flaky and her fur is thin.  I didn't think of this until the brilliant Emily mentioned it, but some rednecks put used motor oil on dogs to cure mange... and she did have black stuff all over her the first time I saw her.  Here's hoping that she does not have mange - unless it's something harder to treat.  😳

I think that Beyonce might be in heat.  I have seen her out a little more than usual, but she's also being really noisy.  I know that she is not spayed yet and I do plan to get it done, but I was hoping to wait until she was more ok-ish with me.  It was so neat the other day to look into the living room and see her just sitting out in the open.  Of course, I was happy to see her so I said, "Well hello pretty girl!" so she promptly ran the fuck away.  LOL  That's ok.  She was sitting.  Out in the open.  I'll take it.  🙂

In car news, my Hyundai won't stay cranked and I need tires on the Kia.  Unfortunately, I also need rims.  Whoever owned the Kia before me put some big ass custom rims on there and the tire guy at Wal-Mart recommended putting some factory ones back on there.  I sometimes feel like I don't really have control of that car and that is probably a big reason why.  So, yay for more expenses.

Also, I just fell down outside while checking the mail.  It is dark and I found a hole that I didn't know about.  It's been a while since I've taken a spill.  I guess it was about time.  LOL

Just hanging out for a few before bed letting Chupa and Scar have some playtime. Those two are best buds. I'll have to get a video of them playing once my floor has been swept. That is not happening tonight, though. No worries - they are adorable all the time. 🙂

What a day.  I didn't feel great when I got up, but then I had a dentist appointment this afternoon to get my teeth cleaned.  So I went and it was fine, but my gums are all swollen and sore.  Then me, Shaun, and the kid went to Los Arcos for dinner.  Those chips were not kind to my mouth.  Bad idea, but such good food.  😳

Anyway, I'm off to hang out with Shadow.  He's been with my mom and his Uncle Cade for a few days, so we have some catching up to do.  ❤

So... I have some pretty sad news. I spilled the crap out of my black stamping polish, so I had to order another. It was all I could do to get my designs to stamp as well as they did here and as you can see it wasn't that great. Too many little empty spots for me to be really happy with these.

Anyway, it should be here in a few days. Yay for that!

Long day.  Saw my mom and brother.  Also got to see my niece.  She has decided that she wants to be Michael Jackson for Halloween.  She's also really into his music right now.  SO, I think that's fucking awesome.  😃

Went to see my dad, but found ANOTHER tiny dog on the way.  He was running down the middle of the road and there wasn't any houses terribly near.  He wasn't in the best shape, but not bad.  I figured he must be someone's so I went up and down the road knocking on doors and leaving sticky notes with my name and number.  Most people weren't home, one person was but didn't recognize him... so, I picked him up and went on to my dad's.

While visiting with my dad we gave the little dog some food and water.  I hung out with dad, then figured I should go to mom's to see if I could find anything to keep the dog in.  Well, on my way there, I saw some people outside on the street where I found the dog.  I stopped, and YES, his owner was there.  So, YAY for that!  Reunited!  No extra doggie at my house today.  His name is Tango, btw.  He's a little Pomeranian / long-haired chihuahua looking dude.

I also got to see a good friend that I graduated high school with.  It had been ages, but it was really nice to catch up.  Cassandra, for real, let me know when you are up for hanging out.  I would love to see you again!  🙂

I did not want to get up this morning, but Precious made me.  The dogs were whining, too, and it was just like, "FINE.  Everyone wants me up doing things, so I'll get up."  So much for sleeping in today.  😕

Precious, btw, sleeps with me now.  I spoon her every night.  She has decided that she can, indeed, jump up on my bed for that.  LOL  I sleep on my side and she curls up with her back to my belly and sucks her arm and falls asleep purring.  It's pretty sweet.  She's the first animal that I don't really mind sharing a bed with.

Anyway, I got up and did my chores, then decided that after a month (or maybe more) of having the tire hanging off of my rim on the Kia it was time to do something about that.  Especially since my little Hyundai isn't running right now.  I haven't driven anywhere in about a week now.  LOL  Thank goodness me and Shaun work at the same place!

So, my rim is ok, thank goodness, but my tire is not and the place I went didn't have any tires to fit my rim.  He pumped it up and stuck it back on there, but advised that I should at least buy 2 front tires ASAP.  He also told me that they are a rare size, so that sucks.  I hope that they aren't too hard to find.  Maybe I can get all of that handled with my next paycheck.  🙂

So after that mess me and Shaun went to Baja.  The doors were wide open and it smelled AWFUL in there.  I asked the hostess why and she said that the fish tank blew up.  🙁  That is super sad.  They don't know what happened, but it makes me really sad that all of the fish are dead.  We stayed and ate there even though the smell was getting to me.  We probably should have just left, but I hadn't eaten there in ages and was being stubborn.  So, the headache that followed is what I got for that.

THEN, we met up with my mom, Cade, and Shadow and headed out to Spirit Halloween.  Because DUH, it's October.  So that was cool.  It was right near a Sally's so I went in it and they had some CG Hologlam's on clearance.  Woohoo!  Nancy Pants, I had a Hologlam to send to you... I just ruined your surprise.  But when I went to pack it up the other day, it had leaked mostly out and was all dried up.  I don't know what happened, but I wasn't going to send it to you like that.  So now I got one to replace it.  I will mail it soon!  😃

So in Sally's the girl working complimented my nails and that made me feel awesome.  Then in Spirit Halloween I had to really pee so me and Shaun walked over to Big Lots.  We didn't tell anyone because we were being dumb-asses, I guess.  I thought we'd be right back, but SOMEONE had to shop around.  O_o  (It was not me!)  So we finally went back to Spirit Halloween and we see Shadow stomping towards us.  Apparently, my mom and brother had walked over to the dollar store because they thought we were still in there.  So everyone left Shadow.  I am a great mom.  LOL  Just ask him about the yearbook money I didn't send to school with him the other day.  Yep, I just handed the kid an empty envelope and sent him on his way.  No, not even on purpose.  I am just that awesome sometimes.  😛

THEN, we went to Ulta.  Fuck yeah for nail polish!  I got two Layla's and a Zoya.  My first polishes of both of those brands.  They are not very Halloween-y, so I probably won't get to wear them anytime this month.  But, the two Layla's were on clearance PLUS I had a coupon, so that was awesome.  I've had a good nail polish day.  I don't even think I mentioned that we went also into the Sally's near Baja earlier today or that Shaun got a hand full of crackles at Big Lots.  Yeah... we might have a problem.  LOL

Anyway, anyone care to guess what I am about to go do?  😛

So... these are the nails that I tried a new thing with. I think they turned out pretty cute. Not bad for a first attempt at anything. 😃

So the new thing, if you can't tell, is that the patchwork stamping is colored in. Normally, it would just be the black outline. I could have done all of the voodoo dolls, but that was more work than I wanted to do. It honestly didn't even cross my mind. I had it in my head that I wanted colored patches, and that's exactly what I did. Maybe I was a bit too focused. LOL

Basically, you can make your own nail decals with nail polish, some stamping plates, a stamper and some PATIENCE. You pick up the nail design as usual, but instead of transferring it directly to the nail, you paint it in with whatever color or colors you want to use. Topcoat it and let it dry, while still on the stamper. After a while, you can peel it off, then topcoat your nails and let dry until tacky. Stick your polish image down and topcoat some more.

I almost jacked my thumb up, as you can probably tell from the bubbles. They didn't bother me so much that I had to take it off and start over, though. They are barely visible unless I'm looking for them.

So, this opens up some doors for more cool things to do when stamping. It's just kind of tedious and you have to be really patient and slow. I don't know that I'll be doing it often, but maybe for accents once in a while.

Unfortunately, my little cemetery scene didn't last. 🙁 I doubt that these are visually as interesting, but I got to try out a new technique where you make your own decals with the stamper and some nail polish. I am pretty psyched that I got it to work and I'm really excited to do it again with some of my other images. That opens up a lot of possibilities. 😃

I really like these. I should - it took me HOURS to figure out what I was going to do. Getting it done wasn't as bad, but decisions are hard. LOL

I am not one to share a lot of photos of myself and I think that this one is especially terrible of me, but whatever. I'm in my pj's with my hair pulled back, resting up from working my ass off yesterday. I'm making a weird concentrate-y face, because this camera is pretty new to me. Sue me if I'm not a beauty queen. LOL Looking nice is not part of my plan today.

I had to take this shot because I was feeding Koopa... you can see his little tub of ants in the bottom right corner. The crazy blue glow is from his lights. Anyway, he's weird and if he sees me trying to feed him he won't eat. So I have to sneak up on him. And today, the perfect angle to feed him without him seeing me just happened to be at the foot of my bed.

SO... I laid down and started dropping ants in, and he ate like a good boy. Not long after I laid down, Precious joined me. I just thought it was so cute how she was hanging off the foot of the bed. That is exactly what I was doing before I reached over and grabbed the camera. I'm just really glad that the camera was within arm's reach. It usually isn't when something adorable is happening.

Me and Shaun helped move my buddy Laurel and her ani-pals to their new home yesterday.  That was some work.  LOL  She was moving out of an upstairs apartment - better than moving into one, I guess.  😛  Thank goodness for Emily and her supergirl muscles - she and Shaun did most of the heavy lifting.  I carried lighter stuff and drove the big-ass U-Haul.  LIKE A BOSS - I might add.  😃  Despite me having to cling to the steering wheel just to reach the pedals I think it went ok.  My back was about 6 inches from the back of the seat.  LOL  That truck wasn't made for small peoples, but it was fun anyway.  I like driving.  Too bad none of my cars ever work for long.  😐

Anyway, I got my exercise in for the week yesterday. I'm gonna take it easy today.  I am surprised by how NOT sore I am.  I guess I am in better shape than I thought.  Yay for that!

I came home and didn't see Precious in her usual spot.  So I looked up and she was on my bed!  I don't know how she did that.  I guess I don't really mind, but I will have to start making it up if she's gonna do that.  I think that cat hair all over my skin would be itchy.  I don't mind so much if it's on the top blanket, though.

So, Chupa's doing great so far.  I found out this morning that she's a bold little shit.  LOL  Usually, if I'm gonna let another dog in the dog room I'm careful to do introductions to make sure it all works out.  Well, I guess this goes to show how NOT used to having such a small dog around I am:  I went in the dogs' room with Chupa loose in the next room - not realizing that she could fit between the bars of the gate.  She went right in behind me!  No introductions, nothing.  Just went in and much to my surprise none of the other dogs hassled her.  She just went in like "What, bitches?  I'm in here.  Deal with it."  Totally confident.  I was impressed.

While I'm glad that didn't cause a conflict I'm not ready to just put her in there without me here.  I hate to be over-protective, but she is SO small.  I guess it's not like she couldn't come out if she needed to, though.  She fits right between the bars.  But still.  Not doing that right now.

She's looking a lot better.  I keep food down for her all the time and she is really eating a lot.  Pooping pretty huge for her tiny self, too.  LOL  But I know she has some nutritional catching up to do.

I don't know what is with me lately.  I love all animals - really, I do.  I've just never been much of a cat person or a small-dog person.  But I am just head over heels for both Precious and Chupa.  Precious is staying here for sure - that was my intention from the beginning unless things just really didn't work out.  I still don't have plans to keep Chupa.  That really bums me out because I can tell that she is super-attached to me already.  Not that I don't like her, too, but I don't need a seventh permanent dog.

Foster-momming is so hard sometimes.  🙁  I can clean up the poops and the puddles and deal with the behaviors of an animal that just doesn't know better, but that's really not the hard part for me.  The hard part is feeling the attachment and knowing that it's gonna hurt us both a little bit (or maybe a lot) to let go.  I wish I could just explain it to them.  "Hey, kid, no hard feelings.  I love you and I want to help you, but you're not my forever baby.  There's a perfect family out there for you somewhere and I'll help you find it.  It'll be worth the wait.  I promise.  Till then, you're with me.  Let's just try not to get too emotionally involved here.  Deal?"  LOL  That would be great.

Anyway, after Chupa's next vet visit in a couple of weeks I will get her spayed and then after that recovery she'll be ready to go.  Hopefully, we'll keep making progress with the house-training.  Once she's all caught up on her eating maybe I will give her meals instead of free-feeding and that will help with our potty efforts.  For what it's worth she isn't too whiny about being put away and seems to catch on to the routines pretty fast.  She is good with cats and other dogs.  She responds to "Ank!" if she's doing something she shouldn't... like sniffing around in the litter box.

The only thing she might have issues with is that she's protective of her food, but what starving creature wouldn't be?  She doesn't bite over it, but if the cats go near it she runs over and growls and then eats as much as she can.  She's similar with her lap time.  She gets jealous if a cat is in the lap she wants to sit in.  She doesn't growl about that - just gets up there despite the cat.  LOL  She just eats the attention up.  She's gonna be a great little lap baby for someone.  ❤

My stamping polish is almost gone and dry, hence the less-than-perfect transfer of Jack's face. Still love it, though!

Just spent some hours feeling sick as hell.

Just spent some hours feeling sick as hell. I don't know if it was what I ate for lunch or if I just let a headache grow until it made me nauseated. Either way, all I was able to do was sleep for the last few hours. I'm really disappointed because Koopa fell asleep before I could feed him. 🙁 He hasn't been eating as much as I'd like so he didn't need to miss a meal.

Sitting here with Chupa right now. Waiting for her scrawny butt to finish eating so I can take her out and maybe get another poop out of her. Paws crossed!

Chupa used her pad this morning to pee, then we went outside for about the 3rd time and she pooped!  Granted, it was about 6 inches from my shoe, but she did it.  I'll take it!  😃
