These are the nails I did...

These are the nails I did the night I hung out with Mary Beth and Nancy.  I didn't get to stamp them until later, but this is Nancy's neon yellow polish.  I decided to use a color that I didn't have.  LOL

And of course, I jacked up the thumb.  Stamping my thumbs is not easy.

Snaga is making the weirdest sounds right now.

Snaga is making the weirdest sounds right now.  She's got her "Herro?!" down pat - I know when my kitten is lonely.  I wonder what else she's trying to learn how to say?

Nails I wore the other day.

Nails I wore the other day. I haven't had time for anything, let alone doing / posting nails. I'm about to shower and hopefully will get them painted again before I pass out.

Anyway, this is a polish that Janet gave me. I love the hot pink / orange shift. 🙂

So today I was sitting at the break table with my boss...

So today I was sitting at the break table with my boss putting postage on postcards when we heard two sounds.  Beth thought it was a car backfiring, but I thought it sounded like a gun.  She finished up her text as I got up to get my water, and then all of a sudden, she looked out the window and was like, "IT IS A GUN!"  The jewelry company across the street, Stinson & Howard, apparently got sick of being robbed and fought back.  The owners (with guns) were chasing someone down the street.  While none of us are too keen on having shots fired in our direction, I do applaud them for not rolling over and just taking it.  Maybe if more people would fight back, criminals would think twice before robbing others.

I am just totally exhausted.

I am just totally exhausted. I also feel like I'm getting a little sick. On a more upbeat note:  Happy Birthday to my ❤! You're getting old, Shaun.  😉

SO TIRED!

SO TIRED!

My yard has seen more work this weekend than it has in FOREVER.  Thanks to Mom, Bobby, Shaun, and even Shadow pitching in my yard is actually somewhat presentable right about now.  I've still got a limb down that the chainsaw won't cut through, (honestly, it's a tree-sized limb), a big nest of brush in the middle of the yard, and that pesky "threatening to rip your cable line down" limb still hanging up there, but everything else is better.

The grass is cut, most of the limbs are gone, and the fence is repaired.  I don't think y'all understand the hugeness of these limbs.  My pecan trees are SO OLD and the limbs they drop are the equivalent of good sized trees.  Like seriously - a foot in diameter.  I think it took 7+ trips from a truck with a trailer to get all of that cleaned up.  Anyway, I'm so glad it's done.  I know that everyone is exhausted, though.  I sure am.
So with all that work I only broke two nails!  LOL  Honestly, I don't really care about that too much.  They will grow the hell back - no biggie.  But one is a serious nub.  😛

No takers on pecan logs?

No takers on pecan logs?  Nice and fresh, and I have some about a foot in diameter.  Right now they are long logs, but not for much longer.  We can't possibly move them with as heavy as they are.  Free to good home.  LOL

Also, had to take the fence down to get the limb down.  That makes me SO UNCOMFORTABLE, but the dogs are locked in, so I'm surviving it.  I guess the project for the day now is to move enough wood to get the fence back up.

Ugh. I"m just having an "ugh" sort of night.

Ugh.  I"m just having an "ugh" sort of night.  I'm tired, I'm broke, I'm hungry, I'm worried about Teal'c again, I've eaten wayyy to much junk in the past few days, my house is a mess, and I have to wake up early tomorrow.

On the brighter side:  I'm about to shower, then go eat and watch a movie with Shaun and Shadow.  Tomorrow, I'm getting up early because Mom and Bobby and coming over to help me sort out my yard.  I feel so lame that Mom is having to help me cut grass, but damn.  I'm behind on everything.  I need the help.  Hopefully Shaun and Bobby can work out the limbs.

Teal'c just ate two crickets...

Teal'c just ate two crickets. I'm happy, but confused...

Is he ok or not ok? @_@

Better do my relaxing tonight...

Better do my relaxing tonight because it's probably gonna be yard work all weekend!  Anyone need any fire wood?

Had a nice time...

Had a nice time seeing Nancy and Mary Beth tonight!  We need to have girls night more often!  ❤

Aaand...

Aaand... Teal'c is back to not eating crickets. 🙁

Mouse batteries die...

Mouse batteries die; touch screen to the rescue.  I've used my screen more in the last 10 minutes than I have in all the months I've had this computer.  LOL

Got my crickets today.

Got my crickets today.  In the process of moving them from the box to the tank, I lost about 50 in my bedroom.  LOL  I think we'll be catching crickets for weeks!  Oh well, at least I have 1950 left.  😃

Teyla chilling against the log...

Teyla chilling against the log, looking all floppy.  LOL

Teal'c and Teyla.

Teal'c and Teyla.  Today was the first time they've seen each other all week.  We sat with them at opposite ends of the couch, just in case they didn't want to hang out.  But Teyla waved, so Teal'c came over to say hello.  🙂  They seemed happy to see each other.

So yeah... hatched at the same time.  He's so much smaller than she is!  I guess if you count the time that Laurel had him, he hasn't eaten much other than baby food for the last month.  He's got some catching up to do!

Bought some gas for the mower...

Bought some gas for the mower, got home and started it up, and had to stop and go back in to crate Casper.  Apparently, dude has a problem with yard work.  Bust out the shovel or the lawnmower and he attacks it.  Totally playfully, of course.  But I don't want him to get hurt.  The last thing I need is more vet bills!

Now it's raining.  I doubt I'm getting much grass cut today.  🙁  Not that I want to do it, but I need to.  DESPERATELY.  🙁

Also, Teal'c pooped.  HUGE.  It was more solid than before and no watery stuff.  I'm pleased with this one.  LOL  It even had the white in it like it was supposed to, but the rest was light colored, like the baby food he's been eating.  I'm guessing the next one will have crickets!  🙂

Teal'c is still with me.

Teal'c is still with me.  A belly full of crickets did not kill him.  😃  He woke up a lot earlier than I did, and I heard him moving around once in a while, and when I checked, his mouth was moving sometimes.  I think he might have been having the leftovers from last night.  🙂  I gave him a few more crickets, but he didn't go after them immediately.  I took him out and syringed him some water, and then put him back.  I've heard him moving and seen him chewing twice, so I think he's eating - just not gobbling them up all at once.  I imagine that his little tummy might be sore after all that not eating solid food, then eating a lot of solid food all at once.  In any case, he's alert and more active than I've seen him be in a long time, so I think we are still on the right track!  😃  I don't want to breathe a sigh of relief too soon, but I think he's gonna be ok!

Laurel, Emily - do you have suggestions for any supportive care I should be giving him?  Maybe probiotics in his water?  I definitely want to make sure I keep him hydrated.

Not really a purple kind of girl...

Not really a purple kind of girl or a flower kind of girl.  But I really like these!  They are totally girly and swirly and pretty.  🙂

Happy fucking day!

Happy fucking day!  TEAL'C JUST ATE 11 CRICKETS!!!  That's more than he's eaten in the almost month he's been here!!!  😃😃😃

Since moving Teal'c he's been eating better and staying warmer.

Since moving Teal'c he's been eating better and staying warmer.  Even chasing his own bugs, though rather unsuccessful at catching them.  But now he's pooping snot water.  It does have a little bit of food in there, too.  It doesn't have a smell... at least one that I can smell without putting my nose close to it (not happening).  I read that he could be really hydrated (when I pinch his skin, it goes down faster, but not as fast as mine... maybe I should pinch Teyla for comparison).  I also read that it could be because he's without a UV light.  He's only been moved for a few days, but I didn't have an extra fixture like I thought I did, so I'll be heading to PetSmart before I come home.  I have been taking him out for real sun, though.

I'm also going to put him on thicker food.  I read at that site anapsid.org to make a slurry with Hill's a/d and veggie baby food.  I think that would be more nutritious than all baby food.  If he doesn't show some serious improvement soon, we'll be heading to the vet.  After this, I will have done just about everything I can think of to get him well.  I am EXTREMELY happy that he hasn't died on me, but this is no way to live.  I almost feel like I'm torturing him, just keeping him alive, but not well.  I can't keep it up.  We need a change!

Shadow had orientation today.

Shadow had orientation today.  School starts Monday.  My kid is about to officially be a 7th grader!  The school said that even though the classrooms are in the middle school, they are considered high-schoolers and have some different rules.  Wow.  He's about to be a high-schooler.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with Shadow's new teachers.  I think Shaun was, too.  At least with the Science one.  🙂

Casper's home and acts like nothing ever happened.

Casper's home and acts like nothing ever happened.  He's gonna be really disappointed when I crate him shortly so I can go back to work.

Gonna feed Teal'c again.  He didn't drink much this morning.  He must not like what I made today.  LOL

Monday, August 13, 2012

Just got home a little bit ago.

Just got home a little bit ago.  Fed and washed Teal'c, then put him under the lamp.  He feels heavier and is pooping, so I guess that's good, right?  He's a bit dehydrated and I read that feeding foods can throw them into shock if they are dehydrated, so he's been on Pedialyte with Critical Care Powder and Multi-Vitamin and Probiotic Powder mixed in.  His skin is already moving back into place after I pinch him better than it was this morning, so that's something.  I don't know how long it takes to hydrate a lizard, but I'm glad for the improvement.  I've considered giving him fluid under the skin, but I wouldn't want to do that without guidance.  Maybe it's not necessary if he's drinking on his own.  When I called the vet they didn't say that they could do that, but I've heard of others doing that, so I don't even know.  😐  I kind of wish they would do that.  It would hydrate him faster.  Anyone have any thoughts on that?

I'm just sitting here with Teyla, letting Teal'c have the log and the light to himself.  She's smacking in my ear.  Wonder what the little porker is trying to tell me?  LOL  She is too funny.  She runs after her food with gusto and excitement, and always ends up with calcium powder on her head.  She's a mess.  A big, fat, healthy, happy mess.  LOL  I need to get up a good photo of her.  🙂  Messy face and all.  😃

Just dropped Casper off at the transport.

Just dropped Casper off at the transport.  He screamed the WHOLE TIME (I stayed and helped load the truck, etc).  He's such a baby, but I know he was scared.  He's in good hands, though.  🙂

Can't wait to get back a NEUTERED boy!  🙂

Sunday, August 12, 2012

So the crate thing... not going so well.

So the crate thing... not going so well.  Casper is screaming like a wookie and trying to open it with his teeth.  It's gonna be one of THOSE nights.  Perfect end to this weekend.  😳

Rough day, but it could have been much worse.

Rough day, but it could have been much worse.

Two of my dogs did get out of the fence, but we caught them up without incident. Bobby patched my fence and then Shaun reinforced it. Not that another flood wouldn't knock it down again, but it's secure for now.

The pipe that drains my a/c is stupidly long... to the point where unclogging it is very hard to do. So it freezes up and causes problems. Bobby cut it for me, so now it's draining into a bucket in a closet and I'll just empty it for now. That's a small price to pay to not burn to death in this AL heat. It can be routed into the drainage lines from the dog tub fairly easily, I think, and that would be pretty awesome. But for now I'll just empty the damn bucket. I'm not taking on another project right now.

Casper is in. He's not being too bad - yet. When I crate him for the night that might be a different story, but I hope not. My dogs are awesome - some of them are playing with him, and some of them are ignoring him. I guess they know the foster drill by now. He'll be crated when I'm not home to watch everyone, but other than that he'll be one of the pack. He's a little noisy, but he's calmed down a good bit. I think being able to burn some of his energy and interact with other dogs has been good for him. Maybe he'll even mellow a little more after his neuter. That's tomorrow, BTW. I'm ready for that. He's starting to hump. Gross. LOL

Teal'c is still hanging in there. He seems to have developed a breathing / clicking thing. The clicking stopped earlier today. I read that too much humidity can cause respiratory infections and I'm guessing that the house flooding and the a/c not working has definitely upped the humidity in the house. Thankfully, I got the dog room dried out with my all-nighter on Friday / Saturday, and the air is on now, and the dehumidifier is going, so maybe that's helping. I read that they usually treat URI's in dragons with a medication that would probably kill him in the state he's in right now, so I'm just hoping he manages to not get a URI. Somehow. 😐

Other than that I've still got the big ass limb on my cable line. And my garage is still wet.  And my grass is still tall. I'm so sore that I'm not planning to cut it in the next few days. Maybe I won't lose any dogs out there. LOL I'm also still pretty bummed about my little frog. I have no idea what happened to him. I heard him singing last night, but he was dead today.

Anyway, that's been my weekend and I am glad that it's over. Never thought I'd be looking forward to a Monday. LOL Thanks to mom, Bobby, and Shaun for helping me. I might have run away without you. ♥

If it wasn't for Mom, Bobby, and Shaun ...

If it wasn't for Mom, Bobby, and Shaun I would have seriously lost my shit today.  ❤

Let's recap:

Let's recap:
  • Teal'c is sick
  • A/C is broken
  • Grass DESPERATELY needs to be cut
  • Foster dog needs to come in, but might still have mange
  • House flooded
  • Limb on cable line

Let's just add to that:
  • My fence is broken
  • And one of my frogs is dead
  • I could use something good today

I feel stupid for asking, but...

I feel stupid for asking, but how do I tell if a dog is over the mange?  Casper had his last paramite dip last week and he looks a LOT better.  His scabs are mostly gone and his fur is fuller.  His legs still look a little pink, though.  I just need to know when it's safe to let him around my other dogs.  I do not want him sharing the scabies!

Yep. Sore as a mofo.

Yep.  Sore as a mofo.  😐  I don't often take pain pills, but Ibuprofen - here I come.  😳

And... 6 hours later I'm still not done.

And... 6 hours later I'm still not done.  But I've done all I'm gonna.  I hurt all over.  Even my fingernails.  Fuck the grass this weekend.  I don't think I'll be able to move when I get up.

Off to shower... and then maybe get some sleep.

Finally, I went outside to asses the situation.

Finally, I went outside to asses the situation.  All of my grass (which was getting to be nearly 3 feet tall) has washed flat.  So, that will either make cutting it easier or harder.  LOL  There is a rather large and heavy log that was carried by the water from one end of the yard to the other.  I'm lucky that didn't ram into my fence.  And the water line on the house and door indicate that even if the dog room wasn't low,it would have still flooded because the water would have come in under the door.

And, my garage flooded, too.  Niiice.

Time to scrub, bust out the Shop Vac, and dehumidify.  Woo fucking hoo!

Ok, Internet.

Ok, Internet.  If you say the following out loud does it sound the same either way?

"How the west was won"

"How the west was one"

Friday, August 10, 2012

Well.

Well. I have a room full of water, again. 🙁

Damn.

Damn.  It's POURING down, again.  This is not making my weekend plans look any better.  I was hoping to cut the grass, but at this rate I'll be doing it under a foot of water.  😐  ... Also, I hope my house doesn't flood again.  🙁

Oh well.  It's not like I don't have plenty of other crap to deal with.  I need to sweep and mop the dog floor.  Get the power to my garage fixed.  Deal with that fucking limb, finally.  Fix the a/c.  Get my tanks out of the garage so I can start breeding my own crickets since Teyla eats so much and PetSmart is unreliable.  Oh, and still push food down Teal'c every two hours or so.

Yeah... can I just not do any of it?

I don't think I'm lucky enough to have that option.  🙁

Teal'c showed no interest in bugs today.

Teal'c showed no interest in bugs today.  After some prodding I did get him to eat some organic soy yogurt with critical care and calcium mixed in, though.  He got a couple of big mouths full.  I think he's hungry, but that his meds are making his little tummy hurt.  That should help.

Wednesday, August 8, 2012

I am still very happy that he ate a cricket...

I am still very happy that he ate a cricket on his own this morning, but the rest of the day hasn't been as heartening.  First break, I could barely get any fluids in him.  Lunch was about the same.  He started looking rather bloated today, so I took him home and gave him a warm calcium bath.  Managed to get his meds in him, but nothing else.  He's clamping shut, and even when I get something in his mouth, he just lets it run out.  It's VERY frustrating.

He's been alert and even active, and seemed to enjoy being out and about today.  He went to McAlister's with us for lunch, later to BAM, and then to PetSmart.  This is him sunbathing during my lunch break.  He *seems* to be feeling a lot better than the other night, but I just wish he would eat or drink for me!  I'm hoping he'll eat another cricket in the morning.  Maybe even more than one.  We'll see.

Teal'c soaking up some sun on our lunch break.  🙂

OMFD Y'ALL...

OMFD Y'ALL - TEAL'C JUST ATE A CRICKET!  BY HIMSELF!!!  😃😃😃

I am so excited that I could just puke.  😃😃😃

Because my luck as of late is wonderful...

Because my luck as of late is wonderful... anyone have any recommendations for someone to repair an HVAC?  It's hotter in my house than outside!  🙁

These are what I did the other day.

These are what I did the other day.  The polish is Swanky Silk from the new China Glaze Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection.  It's a pretty gold / pink foil.  🙂  I wanted to stamp something feminine on top, so hello, swirly vines.  🙂

I'm off to go and do my nails again.  These are chipping.  I've had a stressful few days, so I need to relax and treat myself, if only to a new paint job.  ❤

Teal'c is still with us.

Teal'c is still with us.  I feel better about him today than I did yesterday.  He was more alert and receptive today.  He's still not eating on his own.  Everything that gets in him, gets in him because I make him eat or drink it.  😐

He's gonna be my sidekick until he's better or he dies.  I'm going to put fluids and food in him, as well as bathe him, every two hours during the day, until things are better or until there is nothing more I can do.  I love him.  It's not that hard to take care of him on my breaks at work.  He even seems to like the extra attention he's getting throughout the day.  I'm sure it's more interesting than sitting home in the cage.

So yeah.  If you see me out with a plastic box it's a box full of sickly lizard.  Hopefully, sickly lizard who's on the mend.  ❤

Teal'c is hanging in there.

Teal'c is hanging in there.  I honestly didn't expect him to be alive when I got up, but he is.  ❤❤❤

Rough night all around.

Rough night all around.  Before I went to get bugs I tried to feed Teal'c.  He was almost completely unresponsive.  🙁  This morning he was the same as he has been for a week, so it looks like he took a downward turn at some point today.  So while we were en route to Gadsden I called the vet.  They said that I was doing everything he would have told me to (thank you, Laurel and Emily), and that there was really no point in bringing him in.  That in itself was both comforting and terrifying.  If I am doing the right things, then if he doesn't make it it most likely isn't my fault.  But if I'm doing all of the right things and he's not improving, then, well... I don't want to think about it.  🙁

After I got home I tried to get his meds in him again and failed.  So I cried and snuggled him on the couch.  After a nap, he sprang up and started smacking.  We rushed and got his meds and a little bit of calorie paste in him.  Then he went right back to sleep and hasn't moved since.  I have no idea if that little bit was enough to keep him going, but I hope he hangs in there.  I am trying so hard to keep him alive.  I wish there was something more I could do.  ❤

Monday, August 6, 2012

Ok, not so great things need to stop happening...

Ok, not so great things need to stop happening.  I'm having a cricket / meal worm emergency.  PetSmart is OUT.  The pet store near my house is CLOSED.  I guess I'm heading to Gadsden, then.  😳

I think I'm going to buy enough to just breed my own.  Holy cow.  All of my lizard loving friends... from what I've read I'll have wayyy too many bugs if I breed them myself.  I will totally hook y'all up!  🙂

Sunday, August 5, 2012

I spent most of my weekend not accomplishing a lot...

I spent most of my weekend not accomplishing a lot, which was NOT my plan.  We did give Casper his last mange bath (woohoo!), and Shaun helped me medicate the beardie babies.  I did a little bit of cleaning in the house, but never worked in the yard like I should have.  In my defense, it did rain enough to send water into my house, so it's going to take a few days of dryness before I can even get out there to do anything without being stuck in mud.  Ugh.  😐  My grass is going to be so tall by the time I cut it again that it's gonna take a few days for me to do it.  SO NOT FUN.

Also, the tree limb is still hanging in the tree and propped on my cable line.  I THOUGHT that Cable One would be back for it, but I guess they bailed on me.  I'll call again tomorrow to see what's up.  Mom and Bobby came and un-stuck my car for me a couple of days ago, so that was nice.  🙂  At least I've had my car to use.  I hate being a bum.  LOL

Other than that, I've been preoccupied trying to do something that means a lot to me.  I'm so much closer than I've been before, and yet I feel it's so far away.  After sending emails to a bunch of different people this weekend I feel a little better, but it's hard to wait.  I don't want to talk about it just yet, but maybe soon.  🙂

And of course, I did my nails.  Maybe I'll get a photo of them up tomorrow.  😃

Saturday, August 4, 2012

Well, it's raining - a LOT.

Well, it's raining - a LOT.  On the plus side I'm off the grass-cutting hook.  On the minus, the water is coming into my house.  🙁

Last night I couldn't decide...

Last night I couldn't decide whether to use one of my new polishes or use the foils I got so long ago.  So, I decided to use both!  😃  The polish is from the new China Glaze Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection; Rare & Radiant is the name of it.  It's got this cool green / gold / sometimes orange-y sheen, so I picked a foil with colors I thought kind of went with it.  I only have a few foils, as I didn't know if I would like them or not, so I didn't have much to choose from.

For those who have no clue what I'm talking about, foils are kind of like those Sally Hansen nail wraps - it's a picture on a little sheet, but with the wraps, you stick the whole thing on and leave it.  Where as with a foil you transfer the image down with special adhesive.  As far as I know these are not popular in the USA and I have no idea where you would buy them besides online.  You can find some pretty cool images / patterns if you are interested.  This one, I think, is string.  It looks like woven string to me.  LOL  I've heard that foils have craptacular staying power, so I'll comment on how they wear in a few days.

I know my thumb looks a little rough.  This was my first go at trying foils and my topcoat wrinkled it up and then half-ass smoothed it back out.  Oh well.  I still like it.  🙂

I did not see this until just now, but...

I did not see this until just now, but all I can say is "WOO FUCKING HOO!"  That is amazing and awesome.  😃😃😃

from Margaret Hatley
August 3, 2012
I hope that everyone saw the post that CCACC did not have to put any pets down this Wed.  During the month of July they had 109 adoptions and 58 rescues!!! Fantastic work.  Thanks to the new Board, to Lisa Weathers, to the Staff and all volunteers!!

One thing that the CCACC needs is flea meds.  Apparently, the county did not put that in their budget.  I did mention it to Tim Hodges at the Ward 1 Forum.  His response was not favorable, so I guess the citizens will have to make sure that a governmental agency has the tools to take care of the animals in their care.

Medicated Teal'c and Teyla both with Panacur.

Medicated Teal'c and Teyla both with Panacur.  That was the only med I gave them because they both fell asleep shortly after that.  Teal'c was so good for his meds.  He took them like a little champ.  🙂  Then I put him in the bath, and he drank some water, then started chomping in the air, like "Hey, where's my syringe full of food?!"  So I fed him his food, then he climbed up the front of me and went to sleep in the crook of my neck.  Teyla found a warm spot between me and Shaun on the couch and went to sleep.  They are such snuggly little lizards!  Speaking of little, Teyla weighs an ounce... and Teal's only weighs half of one.  😐  I've gotta get that boy to eat better.

After that, I had some much-needed dog time.  No one can make me smile and relax like my dogs.  I think it worked on Shaun, too.  😃  They are too goofy not to laugh at.  All of them were feeling good and playing.  Emma and Scooter just wanted to snuggle.  Nappy and Faith wanted to play with the same toy.  Lowrider was all about the newcomers.  And Booka wanted to roll on a blanket and eat cat barf.  Yep, that sounds about right.  🙂

I'm off to shower and do my nails.  I got two new polishes from the China Glaze Bohemian Luster set today, and I'm so torn.  I want to use them, but I've also got an itch to try my foils out.  I've had them since December and haven't had a chance yet.  Ah, decisions.  😉

My house and yard are a wreck, but I'm taking it easy tonight and sleeping late tomorrow.  I have a feeling that after that I'll be busting it trying to get things back in order.  From cleaning in the house to doing my most dreaded chore:  mowing the lawn.  Oh, and maybe dealing with that limb.  Cable One apparently wussed out and left it there.  And finally, Casper's last mange bath is tomorrow.  WOOHOO!  I will be so glad to have that out of the way.  I know that he and Shaun will be, too.  LOL

Anyhoo... that is all.  ❤

I always love seeing women breastfeed.

I always love seeing women breastfeed.  It's totally natural and wonderful.  I hate that women are encouraged to put their tatas on display for sexual pleasure, but discouraged from using them for their intended purpose.  We are mammals, yo.  Get over it.

So... Cable One just showed up...

So... Cable One just showed up to check out the "giant limb on their line" situation and they promptly turned around and left.  I hope they were just going for back-up...  🙁  They didn't even knock on my door.  Just turned around and left.

I did these Sunday and I wasn't quite finished with them, but...

I did these Sunday and I wasn't quite finished with them, but I never got a chance to do anything else with them.  Nor have I had a chance to change them.  Oh well.  I thought they were cute, and I really like the multi-colored glitter.  Maybe I'll have time to stop and do my nails this weekend.  🙂

Thursday, August 2, 2012

Well, I'm about to be without power for a while.

Well, I'm about to be without power for a while.  Alabama Power can tie the limb up and move their lines.  But no one's taking it down until my car is moved.  They say they aren't qualified.  Guess I'll call Mike's Tree Service when I wake up again.

So... this just happened.

So... this just happened.  This GIANT ASS limb is touching my car, still hung up in the tree and power lines.  It's at least 20 feet long with branches in all directions.  But, it didn't crush my house or car, so... that's cool.  LOL

Unlucky, or lucky?

Fed Teal'c.

Fed Teal'c.  I don't know that he ate more than usual, but he seemed more excited about it at first.  He was opening his mouth wider and audibly chomping.  LOL  That's more gusto than he's shown in the last couple of days.  Maybe he'll keep that up.  🙂  Also, his meds should be in on Friday, so woohoo for that!  😃
