Bad day for the dogs around here.  🙁

Nappy's on eye drops and might have a skin fungus.  We'll know about that in 10 days.  My dog food is being recalled so that's freaking me right the fuck out.  Puppy has Parvo, which is no damn good and she's full of worms, too.  Costs $300 - $350 to let the vet treat her, versus about $100 for me to do the work.  Uncle Dave is paying for the treatment and I'm going to give it a go.  I've never treated a Parvo puppy before, but she doesn't look TOO  FAR gone so I'm hopeful.  Three shots per day plus all the Pedialyte I can get down her.

Oh, and Scooter was stuck in the fence when I got home.  Not a good day to be a dog at my house, it seems.  🙁

Off to get some Pedialyte and puppy pads.  Send the little girl your good vibes, please.  ❤

I guess I have myself a foster puppy.

I guess I have myself a foster puppy.  It's been a while and I've kind of missed it.  She showed up on my Aunt Hope and Uncle Dave's porch tonight.  I was pretty worried because she wasn't eating at all (though she's drank a little) so I syringe-fed her some Karo syrup.  Seems to have awakened her appetite some.  I feel much better.  I'll take whatever small victory I can get!  😃  Headed to the vet tomorrow for Nappy's eye (always something with that dog), so I'll take this little girl with me, too.  I hope she's going to be fine.  If she checks out ok I'm going to try to get her healthy and then hopefully find her a good home.

P. S.  After that video I covered her with a towel and she went back to sleep.

P. S. Again:  She grunts and it's the MOST ADORABLE THING EVER.  My foster baby Cupcake used to do the same thing.  SQUEEE!  😃

Damn - I have the BEST BOYFRIEND EVER.  I left Booka locked outside this morning because he wouldn't come out from under the storage building.  I felt horrible about it because I knew it was going to rain.  I mean - he had shelter, obviously, but I'd rather him be indoors.  Anyway, Shaun called me when he left and I told him about it (I'd already left) and he came to work with breakfast for me and says he stopped by and let the dog in.  Totally made my day.  😃

I almost stole someone's dog today...

I almost stole someone's dog today - accidentally.  I was getting some gas and I saw her following a guy out of the parking lot.  What I didn't see was him come back and go into the store.  So the dog comes up and licks me and sits on my feet - super friendly.  She was well fed and had a collar, but not surprisingly, no tags.  I pumped my gas, put oil in my car, and she was still there.  I even waited another 10 minutes or so to see if anyone would come out and claim her, but no one did.  So I let her in my car.  Literally - I was getting in my car when he came out and said "Hey, that's my dog!"  I was like, "Thank goodness because I don't need another!  I didn't see you come back!"  He was like, "It's cool."   And they left together.  No leash or anything in a busy gas-station parking lot on Quintard.  At the very least I would have tied her somewhere to keep her from getting hit while I was shopping had it been my dog.  People are crazy!
