Baby buns are incredibly hard to keep alive - even for experienced rehabbers. Their best bet is with mom. Please don't intervene if it's not an emergency and DO NOT TAKE ANIMALS TO the Anniston Museum!

Best advice:
Best advice because baby buns don't usually make it without real mama helping out. 🙁 Even experienced rehabbers have trouble with these.
"If you see fur flying out when you mow, it does not mean you killed anything. Mother rabbits will line and cover the nest with fur to keep her little ones warm and comfy. If you find a nest of baby rabbits, leave them alone. Plant a flag next to it so you don't mow over it. They will be gone within a month."

I am finding it to be rather convenient...

Bun had trauma and did not survive.
WHAT A DAY. ʘ_ʘ
WHAT A DAY. ʘ_ʘ
I woke up this morning and some of my roaches didn't look so great. One had even dropped her egg sack. (NO GOOD - they give live birth!) All of the ones that don't look great are adult females so they could just be old. There are about 6. I've already fed three to Teyla and I'm taking the other three to Pomona shortly. No need for them to go to waste, I guess. 🙁
I spent a few hours shopping online for a good setup to heat my bugs and I finally found something. I'm not entirely sure why some of them are dying, but I know they like it warmer than it is. I'mma fix that. WITHOUT posing a fire hazard to my house, thankyouverymuch.
Went to work and that was madness. I ended up taking about 15 boxes to UPS by myself this evening. AND I broke two damn nails doing it. 🙁
Also, I have a little baby. A bunny who's mama was eaten. I haven't been able to find a nursing mama like I did for the last one, so it looks like I'll be nursing him myself. I have a few good folks that I can call now, though, so that's awesome. 🙂
I'm 30 minutes late for dinner so I'm heading out. Gonna eat real fast and then get my bunny supplies. I can't feed him until he warms up, anyway. That'll kill him. Not the effect I am going for. 🙂

Zombie Bunny UPDATE:
Saturday, June 2, 2012
Well, the only thing I accomplished today was washing my 6 mutts.
Well, the only thing I accomplished today was washing my 6 mutts. Nappy and Scruff just make my day - they line up and want to be FIRST! 😃 The other 4... not so much. But they are pretty good for it, so that's awesome anyway. 😃
I did call to check on the bunny today, but the animal caretakers were not in. So, I still don't know anything. 🙁 I guess I will try again on Monday.
I still plan to not eat until Tuesday-ish. I feel like breaking my fast early is a sign of weakness. We do not need nearly as much food as we consume. Anyway, we went to Ruby Tuesday tonight and I did not eat. Just ask Shaun - he seemed quite annoyed. LOL Had we gone to Los Arcos I might have given in, but not for Ruby Tuesday. He wanted a steak and I didn't want to eat, so it all worked out. 😛
Off to snuggle my nice clean pups, then I'm gonna do my nails with the awesome polishes my Janet sent to me. 🙂

I've got an injured infant bunny.

Little injured bun. You can see a small scratch on his back, but the other side of his neck is what's really hurt. Pretty good puncture from a cat. 🙁 |

Why, hello there. (Part 2)
One acted strange from the start... it seemed like that one might have had internal injuries or was just traumatized. It was the first one to die. The second one I thought was probably ok, but it wasn't as curious or aware as the third. It died next. The curious one did really well for most of the week and I actually thought that one might make it... however, we were not so lucky.
From all of the reading I've done online baby bunnies are REALLY hard to keep alive. But AMC wouldn't take them unless they were really sick or obviously injured and the last time I spoke with the museum they said that they didn't do much rehabbing these days so I thought I'd give it my best shot. My main problem was getting them to poop... gosh, I really can't tell you how much time I spent wiping bunny ass. It was a lot, though. Anyway, they were really cute. This is Noggin, the last one to go. Here is a video:
