So far I haven't done much of anything this weekend. And it has been WONDERFUL. 😃
I did clean my house - just enough that it allowed me to relax and not worry about it constantly. I also took a nap, which was pretty great. Other than that I've taken care of the fur-kids and spent the rest of the time sitting on my butt and hanging out with Shaun. Shadow is with his grandmother so I've taken the opportunity to be stingy with my lovely Shaun and it is just what I needed. ❤
When we first got together we had summers full of 4-day work weeks, Shadow wanting to spend a lot of time with his grandmother, and not a whole lot of other stuff going on. There was a lot of "us" time, and relax-y time, and somewhere along the way, work, Shadow staying home and wanting friends over, and other outside commitments have taken away from that. I've been missing the "us" and "relax-y" part a whole damn lot. 🙁 So this weekend has been pretty nice. 🙂
I apologize to any of Shaun's friends who have been missing him. I know he's damn awesome, but he was mine first. 😛
I still haven't found some of the stuff I've lost over the past few weeks, but truth be told I haven't been looking. I am tired of stressing over it and I haven't lost anything that I really need right now. Hopefully, things will turn up at some point, but if not - onward. Ain't nobody got time for that!
I also decided the other night that I want to change my bedroom around. I already have the flooring I want to put down. I bought it last year, but haven't had a chance to do it yet. Shaun took a really girly fan / light down from one of his rooms (it came with his house), and he said I could have it. Mom has a smaller bed frame that I can have (I've got a huge queen sized frame in my tiny ass room - it's kind of redonkulous), so I think it will all come together quite nicely. AND I don't have to pay for anything else except for maybe a can or two of spray paint. Now I have something to look forward to and be excited about! 🙂
All in all, I think I needed everything that this weekend had to offer. Generally speaking there are a lot of things in my life that stress me out so just sitting the hell down sometimes is a really good idea. I need to remember that and make it so - much more often than I do. You all feel free to remind me of that ANYTIME. ❤
