About the Zombie Bunny:  Sorry to everyone who was bummed out when I posted that he hadn't made it through the night.  I really thought he was dead because when I touched him he was cool and didn't respond.  When I picked him up to take him outside I felt him move - which was AWESOME.  🙂  I also noticed that he'd pooped, which is a good sign.

On the way to the museum I kept him in my hand to warm him up and by the time we got there he was wiggling and smacking - which is more than I'd seen him move in the time he was with me.  He was warming up and getting hungry.  🙂  I read that mama bunnies only feed about twice a day (around dusk and dawn) so if he hung in there until feeding time this evening I imagine that he'd be ok - as long as his wounds don't get infected.  I will call and check on him tomorrow and let everyone know how he's doing.  Hopefully, I'll have some good news to report back!

Bun is now with a nursing mother rabbit and siblings. I think that's the best we could have done. 🙂

I was wrong - bunny isn't dead.  Just cold.  Didn't move when I touched him this morning so that + the coolness made me think he wasn't with us.  Went to put him back with nature and found that not only is he alive - he pooped!  Good sign.  🙂  Taking him to the museum now.

This is my little friend for now.  Baby bunny who was taken from a cat.  He's warm and has drank some Pedialyte from a syringe.  We clean his wound (on the other side of his neck) so hopefully he'll pull through until tomorrow.

Little injured bun.  You can see a small scratch on his back, but the other side of his neck is what's really hurt.  Pretty good puncture from a cat.  🙁

Membership is support. If you reject the symptoms you must reject the cause - Or claim your place in a system of injustice. Well, puppy just went home.  I think she's going to enjoy having some kids around.  Aunt Hope and Uncle Dave - you have to let me know how she's doing!  ❤  I will miss her.

Crazy night.

Crazy night.  I've been sick of my bras not fitting correctly so I just went without today.  Wore dark clothing and a hoodie so it's not like it was all obvious or anything.  I decided to actually go and get one that was the correct size and would you believe that not even Victoria's Secret carries a size 30 band?  

Shaun made me go to Dillard's (and ended up buying me the most expensive bra I've ever had) and they did have a size 30 band.  Even 28, but that would have been too small for me.  I've worn a 32 A my whole life and would you believe that the lady fitted me for a 30 D - and it's actually damn comfortable?  I'd read it before (and she even mentioned it) that 85% of women are wearing the wrong size bra.  Ladies, you owe it to yourselves to get it right.  THIS IS AWESOME.  😃

Trust me, I've always been pretty flat. I only have a little bit of boobs now because I've gained a whopping 10 lbs. I kind of like mine now. They are a little fluffier, but so is the rest of me. Not in a way that bothers me, though. The last couple of years I've fluctuated between having this extra 10 lbs and not having it. When I don't have it I don't have boobs, either. But when I do have it I have boobs to go along with it. It's funny. I have seasonal boobs. 😂 I'm happy either way. They really are in the way when they are bigger so I enjoy them while they're here and don't miss them when they're gone.

Dang.  Puppy isn't sleepy in the slightest.  She's been playing and getting into things.  Ahh - just like a puppy!  😂  She also keeps honking at me.  It's like a grunt, but it's not.  Kind of sounds like a goose honk.  It's hard not to call her "Honky" because of it.  😛

I gave her the de-wormer today, too, which has been pretty gross.  I'm sure she's feeling a lot better, though.  But man, she's got the "just been de-wormed gas", which is horrible.  Not very pleasant company tonight.  Maybe she'll tire herself out soon and crash.  Here's hoping!  🙂

I've gotten so good at giving under-the-skin injections...

I've gotten so good at giving under-the-skin injections to the puppy that I can just do them while she's eating and she doesn't even stop.  Tonight is her last shot.  I bet she's glad.  I am, too, but at least now I'm not afraid of having to do it anymore.  I prefer doing those to the ones in the muscle, though.

I just need to say that...

Slept a solid 6 hours with the puppy on the couch.

Slept a solid 6 hours with the puppy on the couch.  That was nice.  Took her out around 9, but was still really tired so I went back to the couch for a while longer.  She's pretty good.  Mostly played with her toys on the couch.  Got down to eat and drink, and pee on a puppy pad, then was ready for a nap, too. 🙂  Her last shots are today and then she's all done with her Parvo treatment.  Already acting like any other puppy.  Chewing, running, playing.  🙂  ❤ it!  😃

Wow... SO TIRED.

Wow... SO TIRED.  I haven't slept enough this weekend.  Pup went and curled up in her crate on her own and is now sleeping.  She's good.  🙂  I feel like I might do the same.  Except in my bed.  🙂

Well.  I'd say she's pretty into that bone!  😃  She's been running around here looking for something.  I think she was partially exploring, partially bored.  LOL  I'm glad she feels good enough to do more than just sleep.  IMPROVEMENT!  😃

Going to buy the dogs some bones.  I feel bad about not spending much time with mine the last couple of days and I think little puppy girl would be happier when she's in her crate if she had something to do while in there.  🙂  She really wants to be out exploring and stuff.  I'm trying to make her rest, though.

Puppy Update:

Puppy Update:  I slept (IF YOU CAN CALL IT THAT) on the couch recliner with her stuffed in my jacket all night.  We were up about every 2 hours.  Still going with the Pedialyte which was making her have to pee.  When she would wake up I'd give her another dose of Pedialyte then take her out and put her down.  She went to pee every time and even pooped a few times, also!  Hard, normal turds.  😃  Then, when she'd come in she would go to her bowl and eat some.  Then be ready to curl back up and go to sleep.

Late last night around 1 am she started not falling asleep right away - she was grooming herself first!  I haven't seen her chew or lick herself at all before then so I consider that more progress.  🙂

Also, this is just a cute little thing she did:  She was sleeping with the top of her head on my neck and she was dreaming.  Doing all the twitching around and all that.  Then I hear "chomp chomp chomp chomp chomp."  She was clicking her teeth together!  She woke up a few minutes later and just wanted to eat.  She must have been dreaming about it!  😃

Around 4 am a crazy-loud thunderstorm woke us up.  That scared the hell out of her.  🙁  She tried to run out of my lap, but I grabbed her and covered her with a blanket and talked to her.  She stayed awake for the whole thing, but wasn't panicking.  We both fell back asleep when it was over.

At 9:30 we got up again.  I haven't gotten back to sleep, though I am EXHAUSTED.  She wanted to stay up for a bit.  She walked around exploring and nibbling things.  Had to do her shots.  She didn't like that, but she took it.  Afterwards she climbed up in my lap and licked my nose.  That was also a first.  🙂  Then she fell asleep and I put her in her kennel.  She's not happy about that, but I have to shower and change so I can go and tend to my dogs.

Anyway... so far, so good!  🙂

As if any of you want to hear about dog turds.  😂  If you don't - just skip this post.  We were cuddling on the couch, puppy sleeping in my jacket.  Any time she's roused up I've given her fluids.  Well, she finally started getting antsy so I took her outside and put her down.  She peed - a lot, and pooped - and it wasn't even runny!  😃

Now she's screaming for me from her kennel... I think someone's getting spoiled!

Shaun's here... now it's time for shots.  She probably won't like that.  🙁  But we'll hang out and she'll forgive me.  I hope!

Finally done with all of my errands and stuff for today.  In for the night and happy about it.  Been syringe-feeding the puppy Pedialyte.  Earlier when I was doing that she went for the syringe, like, "Hey, do that again!"  So I did.  😃  Then she ate a little bit of wet puppy food.  She actually got up out of my lap and went to her bowl - which is good I would think, since she's never gotten out of my lap on her own.  She must have really felt like eating.  No vomiting and no more diarrhea since what I found this morning.  She's peeing... it's kind of funny because when I open her kennel door she gets her two front paws out and still pees in the kennel.  I don't know why, but I find that completely adorable.  😍

She walked around outside for a few minutes earlier.  Sniffed around and nibbled on a pecan shell.  Peed.  Then was done and ready for lap time again.  The last hour or so she's been sniffing at my face and looking at me - not just snoozing immediately after getting in my lap.  She moves her ears when she hears other noises and stuff.  I feel like she's more interested in me and the environment than yesterday.  Those have to be good signs.  I'll be watching her like a hawk to make sure she doesn't start declining.

Nappy's on eye drops and might have a skin fungus.  We'll know about that in 10 days.  My dog food is being recalled so that's freaking me right the fuck out.  Puppy has Parvo, which is no damn good and she's full of worms, too.  Costs $300 - $350 to let the vet treat her, versus about $100 for me to do the work.  Uncle Dave is paying for the treatment and I'm going to give it a go.  I've never treated a Parvo puppy before, but she doesn't look TOO  FAR gone so I'm hopeful.  Three shots per day plus all the Pedialyte I can get down her.

Oh, and Scooter was stuck in the fence when I got home.  Not a good day to be a dog at my house, it seems.  🙁

Off to get some Pedialyte and puppy pads.  Send the little girl your good vibes, please.  ❤

I guess I have myself a foster puppy.

I guess I have myself a foster puppy.  It's been a while and I've kind of missed it.  She showed up on my Aunt Hope and Uncle Dave's porch tonight.  I was pretty worried because she wasn't eating at all (though she's drank a little) so I syringe-fed her some Karo syrup.  Seems to have awakened her appetite some.  I feel much better.  I'll take whatever small victory I can get!  😃  Headed to the vet tomorrow for Nappy's eye (always something with that dog), so I'll take this little girl with me, too.  I hope she's going to be fine.  If she checks out ok I'm going to try to get her healthy and then hopefully find her a good home.

P. S.  After that video I covered her with a towel and she went back to sleep.

P. S. Again:  She grunts and it's the MOST ADORABLE THING EVER.  My foster baby Cupcake used to do the same thing.  SQUEEE!  😃

Damn - I have the BEST BOYFRIEND EVER.  I left Booka locked outside this morning because he wouldn't come out from under the storage building.  I felt horrible about it because I knew it was going to rain.  I mean - he had shelter, obviously, but I'd rather him be indoors.  Anyway, Shaun called me when he left and I told him about it (I'd already left) and he came to work with breakfast for me and says he stopped by and let the dog in.  Totally made my day.  😃

I almost stole someone's dog today...

I almost stole someone's dog today - accidentally.  I was getting some gas and I saw her following a guy out of the parking lot.  What I didn't see was him come back and go into the store.  So the dog comes up and licks me and sits on my feet - super friendly.  She was well fed and had a collar, but not surprisingly, no tags.  I pumped my gas, put oil in my car, and she was still there.  I even waited another 10 minutes or so to see if anyone would come out and claim her, but no one did.  So I let her in my car.  Literally - I was getting in my car when he came out and said "Hey, that's my dog!"  I was like, "Thank goodness because I don't need another!  I didn't see you come back!"  He was like, "It's cool."   And they left together.  No leash or anything in a busy gas-station parking lot on Quintard.  At the very least I would have tied her somewhere to keep her from getting hit while I was shopping had it been my dog.  People are crazy!
