I just cut all of the grass in my back yard.  In one day.

I don't really know how that happened, but I don't think I managed to do that even once last year.  Maybe my hips and knees were hurting me more than I thought.  Cutting my grass with a push-mower is never fun and I wouldn't go so far as to say that I enjoyed myself today, but I didn't hate it as much as I recall.  Interesting.  Yay for arthritis meds?

P. S.  Speaking of:  I haven't taken anything for barfing since sometime last week.  Also, even though tiredness is still a side effect I'm battling I feel like the more I do things - the easier it is to do things.  I didn't feel sleepy at all yesterday while I was at the show despite having taken my pills the day before.  I did totally crash when I got home, but I do that after shows regardless, so that's ok.

Shaun, I'm hungry.  You want some food?  I could go for potatoes.  Or veggies from Los Arcos.  Or whatever.  I'm gonna take a shower now.  I feel like I have bugs all over me.  But I'm ready to see your face today.  🙂❤

I am NOT feeling it today. Fatigue has caught up with me and my face hurts. 🙁 Mom and Cade are heading back to Janney Furnace. Unfortunately, I took all of my stuff home. I'm currently trying to decide whether to take it over there now or not. This is the last day I'll have to rest before having to work all week. 🙁

I did eventually get a headache to go with my chills, but I napped and took Ibuprofen so it hasn't been too bad, thankfully. Heading back to sleep shortly in preparation for tomorrow. I will put on sunblock before I leave.

Today didn't go so great for me.  No one bought anything.  I had one girl who seemed really interested, but she didn't come back before we packed up.  Hopefully I will see her tomorrow.

Mom sold a thing, but Cade did best of all.  He sold 2 chain mail whips so that was great.  Yay Cade!

Other than that I've got a little sunburn on my face, but I'm very much surprised to find that I am not (for the first time in as long as I can remember) sick from sun exposure.  I am really tired and have the chills, but I have no migraine or nausea.  I wonder if my vitamins or arthritis meds are affecting that somehow...

Anyway.  I will go back and try again tomorrow.  I think I might take a few bottles of polish and use them as props for the jewelry I made with them.  I haven't done that before because I didn't really want to drag polish around, but I think it might be worth it to try that out.

Well, I'm off to rest up before working on the house and yard.  I hope you all are enjoying your Saturday.  🙂

Just finished my last class of the week. I HAVE OFFICIALLY MADE IT TO SPRING BREAK!!! 😃

Starting tomorrow I'm working on the house. And Saturday and Sunday I'll be at Janney Furnace with Polish All the Things. Looks like I won't have time to slow down much, but I'll get some things accomplished. That feels almost as good as relaxing, right? 😛

I am FINALLY breathing a sigh of relief.  I have been anxiously waiting all day to hear how I did on my Algebra test last night.

I hate to admit that I am surprised to learn that I made a 100.  I did study a lot, but I honestly expected a low A at best.  PHEW!

We've taken 3 Algebra tests in all.  I made a 100, an 82, and then a 100.  So far, so good.  😃

Super THANK YOU to Shaun for helping me study so much.  He's one of those crazy people that can do Algebra in his head.  😳  I definitely wouldn't be doing so well without his help.

I am exhausted. Like Tort Baby, I am heading to bed soon. He's burrowing into the couch beside my leg.

I don't know how I did on my Algebra test today. I think I made at least a B, but I hope it was an A. Maybe I'll find out tomorrow. 

In computer class I worked in Access again and finished 2 projects. I really enjoyed it. I wish I had some spare time to work on my database at home. Oh well. I still have one more Access project before we move on to PowerPoint. 

Other than that the only other noteworthy thing I can think of to say is that I was supposed to start my allergy shots yesterday, but I didn't. The allergist quit. It seems that I don't have good luck with allergists. Or either I'm bad luck for them. 😕 We will try again next Monday.

If I don't do well on my Algebra test this evening it's not from a lack of trying.  I studied all weekend during the times I wasn't so sleepy I couldn't think, and I was up until almost 2 a.m. this morning studying, as well.  I slept late so I wouldn't be too tired to think this evening.

So perhaps life isn't as bad today as I felt like it was yesterday.  Can't believe I'm being so positive on a Monday.  😂

I'm still insanely busy, but over the weekend I was dealing with my metho-coma, PMS, a "To Do" list a mile long, and stress.  You put it all together and that's a concoction sure to make anyone feel like complete and utter crap.

I still feel like I need a nap and I may just take one before I study, (who knows), but the tiredness is not crippling today.  Also, my PMS has lightened up.  I know that everyone is affected differently by that, but my personal default setting is to cry.  I have been a cry-er since my first period - and over the dumbest shit.  The cat ignored me, someone had bad breath near me... you name it, I've probably cried at it.  😂😂😂  So, yesterday really did feel like the end of the world, but today feels better.  THANK GOODNESS.

Anyway, since my "To Do" list is a still a mile long I'm off to tackle some of that before I run out of energy.  I hope Monday has been nice to y'all, as well.  🙂❤

Detailed Version:  School and my new meds are totally kicking my ass.

Have you ever felt like you have so much to do that you can't do anything?  Well, I'm struggling with that right now.  It's a bad spot to be in because I have SO MUCH TO DO.  Also, I am pretty stressed out.  I feel like I'm earning my gray hairs 10 at a time right now.

I'm scraping by on my bills even a little more than usual because I'm missing time at work due to being wiped out, super nauseated, or going to class.  Also money-related:  Shadow won't stop growing and I have two animals who seem to need to see a vet.  Nothing major is wrong, but they are things I would like to have checked out sooner rather than later.  I could suck it up and ask Shaun to help me, but I am debt-free for the moment and really want to stay that way.  I am doing a two-day festival next weekend with my Polish All the Things stuff (somehow, with all that energy I don't have) at Janney Furnace in Ohatchee so I'm hoping I make enough extra money to take care of things.  If not - I'll suck it up and ask for help.  I can't have anyone going without around here.

Other than that stress it feels like every little thing I do takes a huge amount of effort now.  Housework, studying, leaving my house, brushing my hair, making salad for the reptiles, scooping the litter boxes, etc.  Shaun and Shadow are both helping me, but now the freaking grass is growing so we'll have to start cutting it and damn - it's just another thing on my list of things to do.  And it's a thing that Shadow and I both hate doing.  I usually hate wet weather, but I am so thankful for it this weekend because it meant that I didn't have to bust out the lawn mower.

I am sure that everything would be easier to juggle if it wasn't for my medication.  I take it on Friday and then spend most of my weekend resting.  I just don't have the energy for anything else.  If I sit down and am not actively engaged in doing something (like studying), then I will fall asleep - even though I slept all night the night before.  I mean I've ALWAYS been great at sleeping, but this is extreme.  I slept all night last night and could use a nap right now.  I am desperately fighting the urge because me and the kid are gonna get up and do some cleaning together shortly.  I hope.

I don't know.  My whole life feels different right now and not in a great way.  I have cut my nails twice because I don't even have time to throw a coat of something plain on them, and I've turned down 2 geckos and 2 hedgehogs and the mention of possible rats - all of which I would love to take in if I could.  I just don't feel like myself.  I feel like a machine whose batteries are about dead.

Spring Break starts March 30 for me, but instead of relaxing I will be working at my job, and I have also designated it as the week that I will use to do some house repairs because I just don't see me getting any extra things done before then.

I don't think I can do housework right now.  I think I really have to take a nap.  🙁

Just saw DIE ANTWOORD with Shaun and Shadow and it was awesome. Yolandi is sooo tiny! And squeaky! 😊 Ninja kept crowd-surfing - so glad we were in the balcony. He would just fling himself into the crowd. HARD. He would have broken my hands if I could have reached him.  😂

They also had this crazy awesome dancing girl. She was hottt. And dance-y. And awesome. And her booty was amazing. Sorry - not sorry. I call it like I see it. 

During one song while Yolandi was singing, Ninja walked behind her and grabbed her by the head and kissed the top of her head. It was sweet. Even if they aren't a couple they still have awesome chemistry. ❤❤❤ 

All in all it was a fun night. I think Shadow even enjoyed himself. Only could have been better if Emily had been there. Next time, for sure. 🙂

Well, SOMEONE...

Well, SOMEONE knows it's spring.  Tort Baby hasn't been still once since I've been home.  He's definitely not asleep today!

I got to work in Access...

I got to work in Access in computer class tonight, so that was fun.  Makes me more excited to work on my database.  IF I CAN EVER FIND THE TIME.  🙁

We are doing exponents and all that in Algebra.  Seems easy enough, but remembering all of the rules is gonna take some doing.  We cover so much in one class that it doesn't feel as though it has time to sink in.  So I have to really study that to make sure I get it.  I made an 83 on my last Algebra test, so BOO for that.  I really wanted an A.  So I super want to ace this next one to make up for that.  If I have to take 3 Calculus classes then I need to be good at this stuff.

Anyway.  Shaun buried Tamari today.  We didn't have time yesterday and by the time we found her on Sunday it was already late and dark.  Speaking of things like that - one of my neighbors died today.  It is really sad.  I think her family needed her; I have no idea what things are going to be like over there now.  I really hope they all manage to be ok somehow.  ❤

Well, I'm exhausted and have an early class tomorrow.  It would be AMAZING if some jackass would take their screaming dog inside so that I could sleep.  I don't know where it's coming from, but there are two different dogs that scream off and on all night somewhere in my neighborhood.  If they are bothering me then surely they are bothering their owners who are much nearer to them, right?  I try to always bring my pack of mutts in before it gets too late.  I would feel so bad if I knew they were disturbing someone.

I feel really down...

I feel really down and like I've been beaten up. It's just an emotional thing. I'm sad about Tamari and every time I do anything with my left hand I'm reminded of her because my thumb hurts. I'm not usually very sensitive about Shadow's birthday, either, but we did a paper in English where I told the story of having him so I've got the feels today - for better or worse. 

It's the kind of day where I just want to go to Shaun's couch and get snuggled. My own couch wouldn't even suffice today. But I have to go to work so no snuggles for me. 🙁

Also, my nails are ugly and I'm super nauseated. The two are not related.

Big, fat "Happy Birthday" to Shadow!  My "little" boy (who's been bigger than me for years!) is 15 today.  All of you who knew him when he was just a baby... commence with the feeling old!  😂😂😂

My goodness.

My goodness.  I have never had a group of gerbils that didn't get along before, but officially all of the girls now live separately.  Melon made it clear when I bought Whitey and Tamari for her that she didn't want friends and I guess that's understandable since she'd lived alone for so long by the time she came to me.  But Whitey and Tamari have lived together since the pet store... and we've had them for (I'm guessing) about a year now.  Things have been fine all of this time - there have been some small scuffles and play-fighting, but that's normal. Today when we checked on them, though, Tamari's back end was bloody and chewed up.  She is not looking good.  🙁

Since she was so bloody I thought I should wash her wounds.  I did that and she bit the hell out of my thumb.  I haven't been bitten like that since I bought Testiclees (my first gerbil who I chose because he bit me and dangled).  Poor Tamari was also dangling from my thumb over the sink and it hurt.  But she clearly doesn't feel well and I know that bathing them is stressful so I understand.  I'm not mad at her.

Right now she's resting in her own home - where no one can hurt her.  I Googled what to do for an injured gerbil and there is not a lot of information out there, unfortunately.  I know that they are pretty resilient so I'm hoping we got to her before she was hurt too badly.  I'll post an update tomorrow.  I'm REALLY hoping that she hangs in there.  She's Shadow's gerbil and it would SUPER SUCK to have her die on his birthday.  I mean, obviously I don't want her to die at all, but the timing could make it harder on my son.  🙁

I've had a hard time writing today.

I've had a hard time writing today.  I finished my rough draft for English (finally!), but it took hours.  I think it's because I am home and it's all cluttery and in need of cleaning and my brain doesn't work as well when things are like that.  Maybe I should have done housework before homework.  😂

For realz, though, I started on about 5 different topics, but then scrapped it usually at a page or so in.  I just couldn't.  I don't know.  It just wasn't working.  Also, I feel kind of barfy.  I took Zofran for that earlier, but I think I'll have to take another soon.  This is the kind of day I'm having.

Anyway.  I've got dinner plans so I'm gonna put on a new pair of sweat pants and leave.  Be jealous of how fancy I am.  😂😃

Tomorrow I think I will do homework first and housework second.

So I went in Sally's and they have re-done their polish wall and it looks amazing. The have swatches of all of the polishes and you can hold your finger under there and see how it looks on you (which, btw, I didn't realize until Dara pointed that out). My one complaint, though, is how up high some of the polishes are. I can reach them to see them, but the swatches don't move so I can't see those. I had to get Shaun to pick me up so I could see! 😂 Thank goodness he's so big and strong! 😃

Shaun is the best ever. He gave me his old Shaker pencil from high school. I've never had one of those before! I'm about to use it in Algebra class. 😃

Also, he gave me a super fancy mouse because mine isn't working that great lately. It's one he bought for himself but never really used. It's so tiny that it looks weird in his hand. I bet it will be perfect for me and my midget digits. 😂

I think I just officially completed...

I think I just officially completed my first class of real college.  I submitted the last assignment available in Orientation 101.  I guess he could add more, but I think I was told that that class ended earlier than the others so maybe we're done.  It would be nice to check at least one thing off my To Do list every week.

I have a busy week ahead - lots of Algebra homework and even some English homework this time.  That's ok - I love to type.  😃  I just wish I wasn't so tired.  And hurty.  Maybe it's the wet weather, but my knees are hurting again, arthritis meds be damned.  🙁  I have no idea why, but this week is kicking my butt.  The whole thing has been kind of crappy so far.

For those of you who didn't know or remember:  Shadow's birthday is Sunday so he's gonna be 15.  I guess we're not doing a party - that almost never works out.  We do have family coming over so I guess I need to do the required cleaning.  It's a lot to cram into one week.  I have class tomorrow evening so most likely nothing will be done around here (homework or housework) until Friday and Saturday.  I hate to leave things until the last minute, but I don't think I have a lot of options right now.  Is it Wednesday, right?  😵

Do you remember when...

Do you remember when I had an allergy test done last year at Dr. Hamer's and they said that I was allergic to chocolate, dogs, and pecan?  

Well I was supposed to start my allergy treatment at the first of the year, but they never called me.  I called them a few times and left messages, but no one ever got back to me.

SO... I asked Dr. Edmond about treating me.  They have a different allergy company so his allergy company tried to contact the company that did my test, but they couldn't get them.  The allergist today said something about them having moved or gone out of business or something.  So, they had to re-test me.

The new test shows that I am NOT allergic to dogs, but that I AM allergic to cats - which is what I suspected.  I can't stand cat hair in my face.  It really makes my nose itch and then I cough and sneeze.  There were no food allergies on this test, though I suspect that chocolate was BS, too.  I was allergic to a bunch of trees and weeds on the last one and I am on the new one, too, but pecan wasn't on the new one, so who knows about that.

Anyway, I start my shots in two weeks so I'm excited about that.  It doesn't hurt that I feel a LOT better about this test than the last one.  Allergic to dogs and not cats?  Psh.  That was some craziness.

Ok nerds, (as you are probably the only ones who will feel my excitement), check it out!  This is my polish list table.

Ok, so I have column for the polish brand, one for the name, one for the quantity (because there are some that I have duplicates and back-ups of), that little paperclip column holds photos (PHOTOS!!!), the color column is for a brief description of the color, and then my favorite column, the polish type.  There are so many different finishes out these days and they all do something different so I figured it would be good to know at a glance that information.  See that list of polish types?  I made that list and I can add new types as they come out. 😃😃😃

BEST OF ALL - I can sort by any of this information so then I will know what all blues I have, or what all crackles I have, or whatever.  Since I keep them all stored by brand, I will always know where to find them.  HOW FREAKING EXCITING IS THAT?

So, it's not even done.  I have most of my polish brands / names / quantities in, but I haven't even started on color descriptions or photos.  I think that can wait.  I still need to finish the rest of my other tables and then link them together to actually make a working system, but this is my start.  Pretty cool, right?  RIGHT?!  😃

Internet - if I'm not around...

Internet - if I'm not around it's because I'm busy being a super nerd.  So I have all of my Polish All the Things data in Excel because duh - it had to be in something.  But now I've got Access and HOLY WOW - I am having the BEST time trying to get everything set up in that.  I want it to run like Peachtree or Quickbooks when I'm done so it's a BIG project.  It's gonna take me weeks, if not months, of working on it in my precious little spare time, but that's ok.  We haven't even started on Access in school yet, but I got excited and jumped the gun so whatever.  😛

I think that Database Developer or something along those lines is really gonna end up being my calling.  I'M GONNA BE ABLE TO MAKE FORMS, Y'ALL.  AND REPORTS.  AND ORGANIZE MY DATA ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT WAYS.  You don't even know how excited that makes me.  😁😁😁  It's pretty much all I've been thinking about the past few days.

Anyway, I'm off to work on it some more.  My goal for tonight is to get my Polish Table all finished.  Woohoo!  ❤

I am not trying to be all flippy-floppy over here, but after playing in Access for a couple of hours - I'm SUPER PSYCHED.  My original plan for college was to graduate and become a Database Administrator, but now I'm thinking that becoming a Database Developer would be SO MUCH FUN.  Like - this is even better than Excel - AND I LOVE Excel.  😳  If you can really get paid to mess around with programs that you love all day, then like... whoa.  My mind is blown.  I have to go to bed because I got so excited that I got tired. 😂  And I have English in the morning.
